I have been using Turbo Tax sense it came out on the market place, after that I did my own taxes instead of having to pay someone else to do them. Used them while single, and now while married. My husband doesn't like to use computers and isn't good at using them so for many years I have done them.

Turbo Tax software is accurate and relatively straight forward to use. Intuit Turbo Tax fees are extreme, charges for electronic filing of state returns and the cost of an additional state return almost equal to the cost to he Deluxe Turbo Tax package are beyond other vendors offerings. Will review options from other vendors that provide multiple state returns and no or minimal electronic filing fees.

After you fill out the software that you purchase and spend time filling out. The software said I had to pay a $40 processing fee. I chose to have it taken out of the refund and then it says in the consent form that you have to pay a $25 processing fee for the $40 processing fee.

The really mucked TurboTax up for tax year 2025. I've been a TurboTax user since the late 1990's. I do my taxes, did my in-laws for years (both deceased now), do my mother's and my brother's and for close to 8 years now my 3 children's. This year the interview process seemed more unclear and cumbersome than ever. The review for errors was almost non-sensical. It had multiple issues with imported documents. I though I messed up so badly, I deleted my mother's and started fresh. It actually needed address and multiple changes for Edward Jones downloaded 1099-R. Next year I am going with H&R Block.

first, I buy the software every year - I files taxes for my siblings, seconds I was having many issues with an error, and it was not fixing it after I inputted the correct information. third I was not able to e-file because I file more than 5 people's taxes even using the online software because their taxes did not need to use the deluxe model! so this year I have to file my taxes my mail...not very happy about it.

Did not engage with the experts. The product should ask for the date of a ROTH conversion. No underpayment penalty might occur if done in the fourth quarter. Could not actually let PA determine under payment penalty even though this was identified as an option. Did not have compatibility issues.

I had difficulty in the new deduction for tips on W2. My employer said the tips were not required to be shown on W2 per directions from IRS. It was difficult to get to the sch 1A form. Instructions or a check box for each of the Sch 1A deduction regarding W2 should have been added at the time one adds W2 data.

I've used this program for more than 20 years. Somehow it is less intuitive than in the past. Also you are informed there are no errors in the review process. Then when you go to e-file you're informed you are missing info. Then you first have to figure out how to correct it. Worst yet, you're asked for info. in a 1099R box that has nothing in it. Seriously?!?!

Been using TurboTax for years. Great as usual. Had two glitches during use where it somehow skipped a subject. Caught the jump itself and directed me back to the correct page to review that subject. In the end everything was covered an it all looks correct.

Previous year TurboTax offered features that would assist in doing deductions as related to household goods, clothing, and other miscellaneous donations not specific to cash. Additionally, the accuracy of some questions and detail guidance could be enhanced, specifically when it comes to mortgages and refinance.
