every year i try to use turbo tax to forecast my with holding at the end of the calendar year. so i buy the full priced edition in november but it never is complete so I overpay as later offerings are 10- 20 dollars cheaper. you should sell it as a partial solution, as it is shady business practice.

I lost 2 hrs or work when the program froze up and quit. Unfortunately I assumed this would auto save, but there was no evidence of any file associated with this on my computer. I had to research how to save a file on this program. There should be a button on the form screen to SAVE the file. Also some of the questions under 1099-R were confusing, regarding Arkansas Teacher Retirement. You need to add Arkansas Teacher Retirement to the list of financial institutions so the information can be pulled and reduce some of those confusing questions.

Love TurboTax. I have used it for years. It is easy and walks you through each step. When you use the product year-after-year, it populates information and compares from previous year of filing. The product will alert to errors and determine your risk. Love the ability to download from financial institutions, so you can rest assured that the information is accurate. It removes the stress of completing taxes and makes the process much easier.

tax penalty for ira distribution has a software issue. I contacted my services and they said the numbers were correct, however the internet says there is a software issue. I got to file my state taxes and can't more from there it keeps asking for me to change state...another software issues I can,t just print my state taxes and mail them...it says print and file (E)...I want to just mail then I already paid for both fed and state

I've been using Turbo Tax for probably close to 30 years now and I have always found it relatively easy to use and accurate when it comes to filing a return. I like the options to skip sections if you know those areas don't apply to use and the ability to load in a previous year helps especially when you know that from one year to the next there is nothing that has changed so bouncing the current year vs the previous year is a huge benefit.

Update TT such that if Fed Return is E-mailed, and State is Mailed the process is clearer. TT needs to include direction for correction if a given (1099-B for example) item needed will not open (this happened to me and the TT rep asked me to close Webroot and open TT as Administrator which permitted 1099-B to be opened ... we don't know which one did the trick!)

The program was average overall due to the fac that you discontinued ItsDeductible in October 2025. This unfavorable decision caused a lot of problems for those who utilized the ItsDeductible for the year and then had to find an alternative for the remainder of the year. Add to that, only one program Deductible Duck was able to transfer the data from the 10 months that had already been inputted and then add to their program. Deductible Duck did a yeoman's job in being able to transfer the data into Turbo Tax -however there are a few issues with the Form 8283. A lot of manual entries had to be made because Turbo Tax did not allow some of the data to be transferred. I would have used a different program other than Turbo Tax, but due to the last minute decision by Turbo Tax, my only option was Turbo Tax. I find it irresponsible on Turbo Tax's decision to stop a program used by many for many years and leave us hanging. Again KUDOS to Deductible Duck for saving the day. Deductible Duck is a great program for those of us that like to support those in need and hopefully they will be able to have other alternative tax programs we can use in 2026. Turbo Tax has really disappointed many.

I like the way Turbo tax takes you through everything, but I'm down to 4/5 stars now because I am getting tired of the embedded sales pitches. Why do I need a pitch to upgrade to premium level if I already bought the deluxe version? I obviously don't need Premium. Also disappointed in how the program handled income from a 1099-NEC for some one-time consulting work my wife did - it never showed up on the income summary and there was little informational advice embedded about how to mange the horrendous Schedule C I needed to fill out, necessitating multiple trips to the web for info instead. Not entirely confident I did it right, so I broke down and bought the Audit Defense thing just in case. Hopefully won't need it...

At the end, you asked me to download a copy of a new adobe so i could create a PDF. Now i can not send the pdf to my printer and adobe is now asking me to start a trial then pay in 7 days,,,,why could you not leave well enough alone-and you had to advertise for adobe.....

Overall, your product is very good. For many years, my only challenge has been handling 'parsonage allowance' for members of the clergy. This time again, I had to pay and call your tax advisor. It always proves to be an exercise in hunting for the forms which is discretely hidden with coded language. Maybe you folks can clear that up for next year. Otherwise, thank you.
