I like turbo tax but there are errors in the program for filing an amended return for 2025. 1) it doesn't print the 1099-x form. all other forms print but only a blank page for it. Even with going directly to the form itself. 2) there are mixed messages regarding electronic filing for an amended return. The info indicates that electronic filing is possible but the step by step says it must be printed and mailed

Good for the most part. The version for Mac OS has some issues with some message boards popping up where you can't see the bottom of the page. It can't be moved or re-sized, so you can't see any buttons or wording because it's below the bottom of the screen. It doesn't happen with the main TurboTax window. For example when I tried to import a W2 in pdf format it wanted me to log into TurboTax. I tried to cancel but I couldn't because I couldn't see the bottom of the screen. These are not huge issues but they are very annoying! I finally gave up and logged into my TurboTax account. Not sure why I needed to log-in just to import a pdf from my own computer to a TurboTax version right on the same computer.

Program works well, except when trying to pay for state taxes with Intuit, the box for credit card month would not work and I had to find a work around which delayed my filing one day. When I tried to change my state filing from e-file back to mail in, there was no way to do it.

At the end, you asked me to download a copy of a new adobe so i could create a PDF. Now i can not send the pdf to my printer and adobe is now asking me to start a trial then pay in 7 days,,,,why could you not leave well enough alone-and you had to advertise for adobe.....

The 1040 printed form differed from the online form for the box "Check here if your main home....." Had to go online to figure out how to fill the box in. Turbo tax didn't even have the box in help. On Federal form you state the following states do not tax interest which NJ is listed as one of the states. It's not until you get to the fine print that NJ taxes most interest. The statement should be re-worded.

Pretty good overall, I definitely think the overall process could be more user friendly. I did have one problem, when I go to pay for the $25 state e-file fee, your credit card expiration month field drop down is BROKEN and will NOT accept anything after 09. So I had to find another credit card to use, that had an expiration month of something before September. This is an obvious bug that it sees like basic QA testing would have exposed.

Been using TurboTax for MANY years. Up to this year was fairly happy. Frustrated this year with lateness of 1099-R. On the advice of a friend, tried FREETAXUSA, during the period that TurboTax did NOT have the 1099-R capability... and they did. Thought why not just enter data into FREETAXUSA and they completed my tax forms. Since I had already paid, came back to TurboTax and submitted (when you were ready). There is an excellent chance that this is the LAST TIME I will use TurboTax... save myself some $.

The payment routine for the state e-file had a bug in it, and did not allow the use of credit cards expiring in the two particular months of our credit cards. Therefore, we had to select the option to pay from our federal return, incurring an extra $40 fee.

Every single year I buy the version that is supposed to include one free state, and every year I end up trapped at the end of the process having to pay to submit my state return. I'm using Turbo Tax because of the convenience of my prior years being automatically downloaded, but every year I am frustrated by this. This feels very misleading.

very upset that you did not support Windows 10 for at least 1 more year. also the refund amount did not match the one I got whlle online with Turbo Tax. the software version was less. I also now have to ask for a refund for Deluxe online because I ended up having to install it on a windows 11 machine so I do not want to pay for both. one last really really irritating thing is that I never received the emails when I tried to do efile on website. I am just not a happy camper at all at the moment
