TurboTax makes preparing and filing our tax returns a simple and uneventful process. We've used it since it first came out and we have never had any errors with our returns. The program guides us through all the steps and provides simple explanations that easy to understand.

Been using TurboTax (Desktop, Deluxe) product for DECADES. This 2025 version brought me two VERY disturbing problems: 1) "Hmm, looks like we've hit a snag." pop-up WIPED OUT the years of CONFIDENCE I had using TurboTax to produce my tax returns PROPERLY. 2) The same .tax2025 file I last closed, having PRINTED the 1040 w/ STANDARD DEDUCTION ($31,500)... auto-decided to SWAP me to the ITEMIZED DEDUCTION (~$14,200), which (a) somehow got me about $120 'more' from the FEDs... and (b) WIPED OUT the years of CONFIDENCE I had using TurboTax.

Turbo was great it took all of my information and provided me with the best tax savings possible. Everything was presented clear and concisely with lots of additional information available if needed. The turbo tax automated assistant guided me right to where I needed to go.

it was easy and quick - I was able to get help while working on my taxes if i needed. this is my 15th year using turbo tax and i love it. easy enough for the beginning because it guides you through the process with ease. if guidance is needed it is quickly available.

There are some limitations with Turbo Tax Deluxe, as related to Foreign Tax Credits, interest on state and local bonds and the elimination of the "It's Deductible" tool for valuing non-cash donations. You really should have notified your customers of this change.

I've been a TurboTax user since the late 1980s, when it was called ChipSoft. Each year it seemed to get better -- until the 2025 edition of TurboTax. The ability to get "data source" info on lines of tax forms is VASTLY curtailed, as is the ability to initiate "overrides" if necessary. There were points where I was getting error messages on a number which was, in fact, not in error and the override function didn't work. I spent a LOT of time trying to finesse this and finally fudged the data to get the correct results. GRRR! I used to be able to get ALL my Vanguard data in a single transfer -- now it requires multiple steps for each account. If Vanguard is responsible for the extra complexity, as the largest tax prep company, Intuit should work out a more user-friendly solution with Vanguard and save everyone a ton of time. Yes, I'll continue to use TurboTax, but not as happily as before, unless they make at least the changes I have highlighted. And I strongly suspect I'm not alone.

The Expert had some of the same problems with the program as I. For example, the program wanted information on my home mortgage. My mortgage was paid off in 2002. It would not accept my balance of $0 mortgage - there was no provision for no mortgage payment. TurboTax should have had a proofing team to catch problems like this one as well as others which I do not have time to list right now. I am a retired Certified Financial Planner.

I have been using TurboTax for many years was very disappointed this year. Two major difficulties 1) Regarding our wealth management acounts the import failed to load any of the 1099-XXX information. This led to a bunch of problems that consumed a lot of time to correct. 2) I hit a need to review certain things before it would allow me to file, which is ok, accuracy is important. However, if I moved from correcting one box to the forms to check something I was force to cycle through the full review cycle - this is an abysmal waste of time. I will consider a different product next year.

To transfer 2024 info to 2025, you might tell us to update 2024, open and save the return, and relaunch 2025. Very frustrating when 2024 is dropped into place and it is rejected. UPDATE: after 2 successful returns, the 3rd revealed a BUG in the program, which I solved while on the phone with TT support. The SAVE command caused the program to crash. The SAVE without password worked but still there's a bug for those that prefer password protection.

Filed 2025 Fed and State on 4/11/26 and received emails that they were accepted. This morning I received a text that "Your tax filing is incomplete. Sign in to finish filing." How can they be incomplete if they were sent? I got our pins and also paid for the state return. And, why emails for the first communications and text on the message this morning? I didn't on the link in the text because I thought it might not be legit. So, I signed in online, and my returns do not appear in the tax home - only 2024.
