I always have used the downloaded version, I'm used to it. I am concerned about the online version. I need to talk with one of you about the pros and cons. I suggest having a quick overview of new tax law provisions at the beginning to know what to expect. I spent an hour or more looking this up myself . Also provide an easier way to figure out Identity Protection PIN - it's buried deep in the "Other tax situations" with limited explanation.

In the past I have had no problems but the software was terrible this year. I have been hesitant to submit my return because I don't feel confident in its accuracy. Examples of problems: I was asked, "Did you receive form X?", yes, "Who was it for?", Dependent, "Did you receive form X?", yes, "Who was it for?".... Also, we sold our house in 2025. TurboTax asked me to enter a lot of information off the settlement sheet and said that I owe $82000 in taxes. It then wanted me to enter many of the numbers from the 10 year old purchase settlement sheet to reduce the taxes owed. After that it asked if it was our primary residence, followed by, "Oh nevermind, you don't have to report this". Why wouldn't you lead with that? Additionally, I entered that my wife received Social security disability benefits so it asked me how much I received from the Canadian railroad pension (or something like that). Taxes are already stressful and TurboTax made that far worse this year.

I've been using TurboTax for decades to me and my immediate family's taxes. You are making it harder to just buy and use the software - annoying the heck out of me to do it online instead. And its a bait and switch. I tried to do my retired parents online and you refused to let it be filed using the free software after I had already entered all their information. Its a bait and switch money grab and I hope you get sued for your predatory practices.

Very easy to use with great guidance. Suggestion: In the section where we can enter our Donation expenses, Turbo Tax displays entries from last year. It would be helpful if this list was in alphabetical order, Also, a search box would also be very helpful. I thought I would miss "Its Deductible”, but what you now have is very usable and helpful. Great product!! I have been using since 1989. Thank you for making this product even better. It makes my job easier.

I always make tax payments online at IRS.gov. At the final stage of using TurboTax (desktop) I was forced to select from only four (4) payment methods: 1, bank debit; 2, credit card; 3, mail a check; 4, installment payment plan. I could not select online IRS.gov. I called TurboTax hep, and was told to select "mail a check" and then later just use my online method. This forces the user to misrepresent their intentions. A fifth option should also be offered: online payments.

Very good tax software have been using for 25 plus years and have seen the growth of the software in that time. It imports previous tax information very well so as to take some of the burden of not having to input information every year. Have not had any problems with accuracy of my returns. Will continue to use in the future.

I didn't like the idea that I was turbotax was trying to force me to use the online method, and always trying to sell me more than I needed. The trouble trying to continue a return when Turbotax always wanted to start a new return instead. I will concider a different program next year.

The program was extremely difficult because the password chain required was hard to find. I couldn't find mine. I had to install without it, but the instructions do not tell you how to do that. Additionally, it would not transfer the information from last year's return. I finally opened last year's app, which showed an update available, updated the app, opened the return, and saved. After that the information transferred. How are users supposed to know to reopen the prior year's application to check for updates when the return was filed a year ago. This year's edition was not very user friendly.

I've been using turbo since 1998, for a person who is afraid of doing your own taxes this product is for you.It saves everything from year to year which makes it easy to do each year by pulling up what you need the next year. If I can do this, then anyone can do it

Very frustrating that Turbotax ignores customer requests for Its Deductible and takes it away with no other option. Fees continue to go up to file and buy additonal states. It may be time to look a competitors who have the deduction software and also limit their addon fees.
