I've used and promoted Turbotax for many years. This is the first time I've been disappointed with it. I spent several hours trying to import my investment information from Schwab and actually contemplated buying another tax software to resolve the issue. I finally found a suggestion on the blog and tried using Edge instead of Chrome as my default browser. Worked the first time. Lack of communication is a poor trait. I hope it does not reoccur.

NOT SURE WHAT ALL YOUR UPDATES TO THE PROGRAM WAS THIS YEAR BUT....the 1099 R info was a freaking mess. We have 2 pension account 1099's and one IRA 1099. The pension info that you requested was the most confusing mess I have seen using Turbo Tax since 2000. Finally today 2/27, after working for hours to input these accounts, I had to delete one completely, add it back in and the magic wand waved over the whole thing and the stupid questions disappeared. Also sometimes I would click on an information box and nothing was there.....is anyone checking their work? I am 80 years old, if this keeps up I will not be able to work through Turbo Tax to do it myself. INTUIT, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

The process of adding the personal IP PIN number from the IRS is NOT well covered in the software's guidance. I went through the trouble to find it from the IRS before I began doing the taxes with TurboTax. I expected that at the appropriate time (getting ready to do the e-file) there would be guidance from the software to take me to a prompt and allow the opportunity to input the IP PIN. That didn't happen. It took the IRS to reject the return first before I knew that there was a problem, then had to trouble shoot how to fix it. That should not have had to happen. Fix it.

Another great year using Turbo Tax (20+ years). Only one comment: I spent at least an hour trying to "relocate" where I found the Overtime deduction! I know next year W-2's will take care of it - so I'm not worried in the least. Your programmers will take care of it.

Federal was easy. However, State was incorrect for a part-year resident. I tried to call TurboTax to report this but the hold time was too long. I consulted an outside consultant (JustAnswer) who confirmed the TurboTax errors and worked with me to get the correct numbers.

Attempting to file an amended return is confusing and frustrating. I made changes to my 2025 file after my federal refund was received but before 1040X forms were available. Now that the forms are available, TurboTax doesn't detect a change. I attempted to save a copy with the old amounts to start over but TurboTax hung on to the previous attempt to amend. There seems to be no way to straighten it out. In addition the initial printed instructions stated that I had to mail a check, then later stated that I could e-file the amendment. Now I'm concerned that the amendment will get rejected if I e-file.

Very very disappointed that 2025 did not include its deductible. I feel the software has gone downhill over the past few years. The support for end users has decreased and results in users going to community chats outside of turbo tax for help. You can do better.

1. Difficulty in deleting previous years 1099 R entries. I had to go to the Help section (after signing in which is cumbersome) The help menu items shld. be in the offline drop down buttons. Also add Delete boxes for old or out dated entries for 1099R etc. SHld. not have to go to "Forms". 2.Also had to "Add" a new 1099 vs editing the old previous ones B/F. 3.STOP doing spyware tactics like FaceBook, Microsoft Windows 11. the Public dislikes leaving their personal tax info. in YOUR CLOUD. We want to do the return on OUR drives...not yours! Do Good. Dont be EVIL.

I received my 1099-DIV form after filing my taxes. The 1040-X wasn't available and I had to wait until February 28 to receive a notice that it was finally available. So I updated Turbotax and it messed up a LOT of the original information that I had already input. After redoing the return I don't trust that it is correct. I am going to review every single screen before refiling. I have been using Turbotax for years and was very happy with it. I am VERY unhappy now.

Having used TurboTax for many years, I find your product excellent. I have only had one problem with tax filing and it was my own fault for not reading closely enough and mixing up the prepay for the next year with paying installments for the current year. I find your product easy to use and the guidance easy to understand.
