I have been using Turbo Tax over 30 years. I am a retired accountant, and I find Turbo Tax the easiest way to do my taxes. Never had a problem with the program at all. Just follow the programs direction and you are good to go. I highly recommend it.

all updates should be complete by end of January. mid march failures because program not fully updated is criminal - especially since this program is outrageously expensive...but i guess you need money to lobby corrupt politicians to prevent IRS from offering free efile for all

Software does not check Schwab/Fidelity for 1099 info. It puts an arbitrary date they say comes from these companies and won't go out to check and see if the documents are ready. Examples this year from both companies where documents were available and TurboTax message said they wouldn't be ready until a future date. This is frustrating and is the reason for a rating of 2

In general this year's Turbo Tax seems less useful than previous years. It displays too many options of no interest to me. Somehow you need to find a way to make your menu system more user friendly. And hopefully, next year you will have a proper AI system which can sift through your millions of comments and other data to find questions and situations which pertain to obscure questions. I had difficulty finding information about dealing with a United Nations pension. Luckily I was connected to one of your Turbo Tax Experts who had access to more obscure information, which solved my problem. Bravo for real people!

I have used Turbo Tax for years and have been impressed with how well things are explained and how information is placed in the forms. I'm still not totally comfortable with the online version. I was not able to use my cursor to move around the forms, but needed to either use touch (which did not always work) or tab.

Turbo tax is usually pretty good. However this year it was hard to understand some of the directions & help . It seems that you are vague because you want us to pay for information. I find this irritating since I am already paying enough for the program by its self.

I needed to talk to a tax expert. On review of the forms there is an area on page 1 of the 1040-S just below our social security numbers that deals with 2025 Residency. "Check here if your main home, and your spouse's if filing a joint return, was in the U.S. for more than half of 2025." We did live in our home for all of 2025 but the software didn't check the box. I reviewed the software input but still wasn't able to locate an area pertaining to residency for 2025 and called for HELP. Got the help needed and the reason it wasn't checked by the software was because it pertained to Earned Income Credit and other tax benefits that didn't pertain to our file. I was able to submit the return.

I found a major problem with the RMD questions while filling out the 1099R. this must be addressed to avoid additional taxes being taken out. currently the only fix is to go into the form and enter the amounts for required and what was actually already distributed.

As always, TurboTax made filing my return much easier. I can't imagine doing al this by hand. However, it is somewhat frustrating to have the program features - manner of answering questions - change from year to year. It appears that you completely re-invented the wheel. Different is not better.

Easy to use as I follow the 'guide me' procedure. However, was disappointed that some areas (valuation of items donated feature) were not ready when the product was released. I rely on this to value my donations to local charities partiucularly as affects state taxes.
