I have used Turbo Tax for years and have been impressed with how well things are explained and how information is placed in the forms. I'm still not totally comfortable with the online version. I was not able to use my cursor to move around the forms, but needed to either use touch (which did not always work) or tab.

Quite a few bugs this year. Clearly the quality has gone down hill. Many instances where I had to copy data from last years tax return in this years. Also The debacle of how the schedule E pop up behaves is a bug that needs to be fixed!!! If you do not know what this is, shame on you! Google it or ask an AI about problems with Shedule E, you will be suprised you shipped with this poor behavior (I sure would not).

Our return is simple. I import all important items. I know we will use the Standard Deduction so, unless I missed it, I would like to see a Check Box at the Beginning of Deductions, to allow me to skip all the itemized sections and go straight to the Std. Ded. without attemping to asseble all the data needed to see if I could itemize. I know that we won't come close, so let me by-pass it. Makes sense to me, but I'm not an accountant. When I transmitted my return, an error message showed up relative to form 5695. I had not checked the NO boxes for no Residential Energy Property Examples - Section B Line 21a and 21b but had entered an address. The software showed me the mistake and directed me to remove the address but it would not accept the deleted address (line 21c) and would not let me electronically file.

Pretty good overall, I definitely think the overall process could be more user friendly. I did have one problem, when I go to pay for the $25 state e-file fee, your credit card expiration month field drop down is BROKEN and will NOT accept anything after 09. So I had to find another credit card to use, that had an expiration month of something before September. This is an obvious bug that it sees like basic QA testing would have exposed.

Program is easy to use. But wait times for phone assistance are long. Had to call once already because I was charged twice for a state return. Now I've been charged twice again for another return, so I'll have another long wait time calling again. Very frustrating. Also, I was initially confused by the online option, but phone person helped me with that.

I've used turbotax for many years and I found the beginning of the process VERY IRRITATING this year to the point that I may not buy turbotax again. I had trouble finding the turbotax package to buy, it kept directing me to just start inputting data but that's not what I wanted. we have a family and even though our taxes are not complicated, I buy the package and we each use it. After a lot of frustration, I found where to buy it. I input my federal taxes and it suggested I save and update so that's what I did. I came back to my computer later to finish my federal and I could see the file in recents but it had 0 data and turbotax couldnt open it so I had to start my federal taxes again. whatever you are doing to make it 'easier' is just making it harder in my opinion. I won't recommend and doubt I'll buy ever again.

I've used Turbo Tax for many years and have very few issues. The one specific thing I did not appreciate was that you no longer offered the CD option. It's not difficult downloading the file but is a little more time consuming loading it. I have not used a live agent. My tax returns are very straightforward.

I've been using Turbotax since the floppy disc days. I've never had a problem with it and will continue to use it in the future. HOWEVER....I hate hate hate the added fees that you don't see until you are ready to file. Just when you think you have your numbers correct and you can start your planning you get chiseled again at the very end. Should be much better and more up front with the final cost.
