Turbotax is one of the most comprehensive tax packages out there. Most of it is as easy to follow as you can get with such a complicated mess the lawyers have made of it. But "Help" usually doesn't say enough on the simple items. And sometimes on the harder items there is not enough math to clarify what is filled in.

I could not import any w-2 forms electronically or manually with images or PDF documents. It was very frustrating. Turbo Tax seems more interested in up selling features than improving and securing the tax returns. Why is there fee to a file the state return? I've using this product for over 10 years and this return was very frustrating.

I have filled my Federal and State tax on line . I shows that e file was accepted last Feb. 6, 2026. Up to this time I have not received my State fund return. How can I get the status of my refund . Is there a contact number for a live agent from turbo tax who can assist me?

Seems like every time I go in to TurboTax Deluxe for desktop there are updates. Makes me wonder how correctly my taxes are being prepared, especially when I haven't made any changes and the next update is finding things I need to fix. So, how do I know what I just submitted is truly accurate?

The process of creating the return documents was very easy; the follow-through was my issue. My initial return was rejected for an IP PIN issue, and the initial directions from TurboTax were not helpful. The software should redirect to the problem, rather than expecting the user to find the forms that need attention themselves. Thankfully, the online tools on the TurboTax website helped me find what I needed, but it took nearly 10 minutes to identify and correct the issue. The software taking me directly to the problem would have saved a lot of aggravation and time

Software does not check Schwab/Fidelity for 1099 info. It puts an arbitrary date they say comes from these companies and won't go out to check and see if the documents are ready. Examples this year from both companies where documents were available and TurboTax message said they wouldn't be ready until a future date. This is frustrating and is the reason for a rating of 2

I have to file form 4852 (Substitute 1099R) because of some foreign income sources and need to have a statement with it. The form itself says fill out the "Employer's or payer's TIN (if known)" so I left it blank. Yet, the efile does not let me file without putting a number in here even though the IRS itself says to put in only "if known". The efile should allow this to be filed without this field being completed.

It is very simple to use. The guided questions make it so. It makes a very complicated tax system simple. I've been using it since it first came out and have never had a problem. Of course I have a fairly straight forward return which helps. I will continue to use it.

The only issue I had with this year's software is when I went to print copies your forms are all PDF's. When my pc converted them to word documents, the cells and boxes where numbers were to go didn't line up, so now my printed documents aren't really good documents to look at.

While I know most of my tax situations, sometimes I do need help with the turbo tax software. Two specific issues I had was the appearance of a state being downloaded that I was no longer using and a state return being attached to my federal return that I was not a resident of, but I had used for future planning residence. I was not sure how to remove or change either and Turbo Tax customer service were helpful in fixing my problems. love the fact that I can talk to a live person about basic software issues.
