I'm a long time TurboTax customer and was disappointed to find out I had to upgrade to Windows 11. I Fortunately my wife has a laptop running Windows 11 and I was able to load 2025 TurboTax on her laptop and complete my return, My request to TurboTax would be to supply "step-by-step" instructions on moving TurboTax 2024 files from older platforms over to support previous tax return data. It took me sometime to type in my personal information - that was previously on my desksetop running Windows 10. My desktop runs on Windows 10 and is still working for my needs: I am a long time Quicken customer too and happy I haven't been told I need Windows 11 to keep Quicken, but I fear the day is coming!

You need to keep on top of IRS rules and regulations. If I wasn't on top of new rules, I would have fraudulently got over a $5000 refund instead of $200. I had to pay your tax expert $50.00 to confirm my thoughts. Also, your Tier II tax Maximum needs updated. I pay you over $100.00 for tax software and I expect it to be right.

I've been a TurboTax user for years and have always appreciated the ease it has provided from year to year and the features it provides in switching from topic mode to form mode, etc. The issue this year seemed to be in changes to the way the import was done. It was messy for me -- it didn't get everything I needed and when I went back to get the rest it reloaded what I had and still didn't get everything. I had to manually delete all forms imported and start over.

why does my free 5 efile federal returns keep asking me to pay for them??? i know i have to pay state, but not FEDERAL. this is annoying and may be the last year for me on Turbo Tax after all these years since they it was introduced. It's beyond annoying and frustrating. now i have to yet call again and have TT do something at your end with my license number to fix the problem.

In the past, Turbo Tax used to make it so easy to do our taxes, BUT they changed their software this year and made it harder! The problem area is with RMDs. Firstly, after entering ones 1099R data, instead of asking if box 2a is the amount that you are paying taxes on and always have, the software asked a very convoluted question about the about whether the amount being taxed is on the form, without any explanations given! Secondly, when selecting non-qualified after choosing qualified for a plan the software leaves residual data in the 1099 worksheet that can, and did for us, generate a Tax Penalty when none is required. This does not generate confidence in the accuracy of the tax calculations! These problems should be fixed now, before the end of the 2025 tax season!

I thought the program saved as it went. That was not my case. After entering information, I clicked continue, a colorful circle appeared for 20 minutes. I decided the program froze and rebooted. When I went back into the program it did not give me a chance to continue. I had to retype all the information into the program again. Not happy that I had to do this a second time. this time I saved as I went.

Everything was as easy as last year except the uploading of files from financial institutions appeared to be more combursome than last year, seems like I had to go through more steps. I was able to complete but again seemed more complicated than last year.

I've used the desktop version of Turbo Tax for years and was always happy with it. This year there were too many prompts to get live help or do my taxes online. I bought the desktop version for a reason. Also, when I went to print my return for review, it kept sending me to a website to log into Turbo Tax. That was annoying. Please return the desktop version to the way it used to be.

I enjoy using TurboTax! The layout is very easy to understand and navigate. The offers to upgrade to different services throughout the process don't feel over-pushy and sound useful for the ideal customer. Nice to be able to go back and forth and confirm you're comfortable with all the information you've inputted without bothering a tax prep person. Makes you feel confident you've filled your forms out correctly!

Worst experience ever with Turbotax. Have been using for years but this year was a mess. Forms were not updated, instructions did not match screens and I was forced to put a number in a W2 box that was actually blank on the W2. System would not move forward without it. Horrible experience. Will not use Turbotax again.
