TurboTax has gone downhill

I've been using TurboTax since the 1990's and this year is my last. I prefer to have a physical disc and they no longer provide. This year it would not allow me to upload last years return which was done on this same pc. Then to add insult to injury I had most everything input and when it got to the state potion it locked up for over an hour and I had to force quit and start all over again

Carryover worksheet missing

I cannot e-file my completed return because there is a carryover worksheet (re: state taxes, which I don't owe, and I did not pay any in 2024 or 2025) that is apparently missing or not yet updated by Turbotax desktop and I need help to know what to do.

Fair

The system was user friendly. I was under the impression I would be able to upload several parts rather than typing in, but they were down until October of 2026 (filing in Feb). I also bought the desktop version thinking I would be paying all of my filing fees at that time. I still had another fee to e-file my taxes. Near the end, it mentioned I could use my federal refund to pay the $25 fee to file my state return, but then backed me out, and made me select a mailed check for state. I also had to start over 2 different times due to the desktop version crashing on my Macbook. Overall it isn't bad, but I'm not sure I will do the same thing next year.

not as good as past versions

I liked it better when I actually had a CD. Would like to be able to back up the return to the TurboTax site for redundancy. I have used TurboTax for decades and feel the software offers less and less. I also feel the state return should be included. I feel like the package is becoming less and less valuable did NOT include all the forms when saving Did NOT provide information on estimated taxes. Had to pay a penalty for under payment even though recieved a large refund.

Turbo tax good until the end

All went well until the end when I had to pay you the $25 filing fee for my ME return. After entering 3 credit cards, you said none were approved. All my cards are up to date with ample credit av available. My first entry you wouldn't allow me to input the correct month for the expiration date. So I opted to apply it to my refund. However, you charged me a $40 processing fee which i did not expect. I believe this was not my fault and would ask you to consider refunding me thar $40 fee. Thank you,

Glitch

It was fine. I did not use any assistance for taxes. I did call customer service when the software would not accept the month of expiration of my credit card to pay for state e-file. Before calling I had tried going back a few slides and restarting from there to no avail. However, when the representative came on the phone and I repeated the steps to go back a few slides to describe what was happening....IT WORKED! No rhyme or reason but I got it filed

Review

Great program. However, my return was rejected because I had a typo in the employer ID number. Turbotax did not read the scan of the W-2 perfectly. Also, Turbotax should be able to check that during the review. All they have to do is check it vs the previous years return like they do for many of the numbers in the return. Thanks.

It sucks this year

This is the first year I have had a horrible experience with Turbotax. First of all, I have only done 3 tax returns and have had to mail 2 of them in because of the error message "It seems we have a glitch". I tried all the recommended fixes and nothing worked. The error happened only when I tried to "pay" for either a fee or a tax. 2nd problem is that Turbotax says I have used all 5 of my returns.....I have not. I still have my own return to do and my parents, who are in their 80's. It has been an actual nightmare, and I have done these returns for as long as Turbotax has existed. I do not plan on using you guys again unless there is something that fixes this. I cant even get help through support, without paying for it, and its not even a problem I have....its a turbotax issue which is all over the internet and nobody is getting satisfaction. I am so disappointed I cant even put it into words.

Blessing in disguise

My experience was awesome. My nightmare turned into a blessing because I had an excellent Trained professional who guided me for over a long time, was extremely patient with me and solved my issue with grace and compassion. I will research to see if i can find her name. She deserves a raise...

Still OK, but getting worse.

Quite a few bugs this year. Clearly the quality has gone down hill. Many instances where I had to copy data from last years tax return in this years. Also The debacle of how the schedule E pop up behaves is a bug that needs to be fixed!!! If you do not know what this is, shame on you! Google it or ask an AI about problems with Shedule E, you will be suprised you shipped with this poor behavior (I sure would not).
