I had problems entering 1099-R forms from my IRA provider. I received two forms for my one account which made understanding the TurboTax instructions regarding RMD very confusing. I ended up entering the RMD amount twice which doubled my penalty for not meeting my RMD. To fix the problem, I had to go into the Form 1040 and follow the links to supporting forms to manually delete the second instance of the RMD amount. I did appreciate the chance to ask the IRS to forgive the penalty and the fact that the TurboTax software deleted the penalty in advance.

I did not use the online version to file my taxes because of the ridiculous sign-in captia. That said, Turbo-tax on my PC works well every year and is very "Intuitive" . It guides me through more complicated forms like the 1099. It allows me to import forms I have scanned in. Having my forms reviewed before I submit them gives peace of mind. I have never been audited thanks to its accuracy. As for compatibility TurboTax runs well on Windows.

I paid for a State Return to be downloaded and e-filed to Missouri. The program was successful in completing my State returns. It took my money successfully to pay for e-filing. I am not able to print my state returns. Your program says "Missouri returns is currently unavailable to view, print, or download because some of the forms haven't been finalized yet." But I recieved a status msg from Turbo Tax that they were successfully transmited and ACCEPTED by the State. WHY can't I view, print, download my returns?? WHY??? How do I know my taxes were completed correctly if I can't visually review them.

I have used Turbo Tax Deluxe for years. Solid product and mostly easy to use. This year seemed a little "clunkier" and due to ETrade/Morgan Stanley import I had to adjust so many things. That is not TurboTax's fault but I wish they had a better interface to find the discrepancies. It has been accurate for years. And the guidance is good if you use.

This was the most difficult year to use Turbo Tax I've experienced. There was one "error" that prohibited me from being able to file until I corrected it and it was a box that had a "0" in it. It made Turbo Tax think I had a credible value and needed to file an additional form "not supported by Turbo Tax". There should be better instructions to leave blank if a zero causes errors. Also, Turbo tax is not easy to navigate between sections and all the updates weren't available until after January 31st. Frustrating.

Capital gains worksheet downloaded from financial source had ordinary gains coded some of which final review asked for a change in boxes that was NOT in the worksheet download or next level up. On line help with a person could not remedy. The unresolved error message in final review PREVENTED electronic submission even though the recommended fix would still result in ordinary gain recording.

I had a difficult time to file my both returns due to the system which did not allow me to skip the Tax Audit Defense part, Something in a process did not work and I could not register for this service and thus the payment could not happen. I use Turbotax for many years and this is a first time when I was not able to register for Tax Audit Defense.

I had to call in for tech support as the app would not load. I did everything the app was telling me to do...I spent at least 3 hours loading, uninstalling, rebooting but to no avail. After an hour on the phone with tech support, it turned out there was an issue with a setting in the Microsoft C++ that I had to toggle. It took an hour on the phone with an excellent, knowledgeable and tenacious technician, but I don't believe I should have had to do that. It was very frustrating and time consuming solution....

I usually am happy with turbo tax, this year the california portion form 540 is a problem. Form shows as an error and you have to guess what is missing, once you fill in the information is seems fine until you try to e-file and it says form isn't complete. when you ask to be notified when it's finalized it said no file seleted. California status shows no record of efile submitted even though turbo tax show sent and received. How do i verify file was actually completed.
