Too many embedded clicks required. It's not as easy to walk through step by step as it used to be. The feature for charity deductions was removed and it was very cumbersome and confusing to manage donations to charities such as Goodwill. I will look at other tax software next year. Even typing this review has been aggravating with the autofill feature changing the words. Stop with the AI ... Please stop. Turbo Tax needs to focus on FUNCTION, not trying to be trendy or pretty or seeing how many times the user has to click. More is not better. Your loss of functionality and embedded extra clicks is making this long-time user consider another product for next year. This was the most aggravating use of Turbo Tax ever.

The download went fine, but when it was time to add last years(2025) return, the product wouldn't add either the regular file or the pdf I had saved on my hard drive. In fact the product locked up. That was very irritating and concerning. Eventually, I did a forced close and upon reopening, it allowed the upload of last years return. Taxes are stressful enough and I have all my necessary forms etc ready to go so it should have been straight forward. After all I was just adding data when it locked up.

Purchased in early December but found that no forms or calculations and few features were available until January. Found the Forms tab in the menu bar was more useful than the Easy Step. The 2025 12k deduction from the BBB was not working in the What If page; did not do subtraction.

Features/Sections not available when product purchased in January, bugs in software, some drop down fields do not function properly some forms do not update properly when revisited/Modified. May go with another software next year or return to doing it myself and filing paper

Normally TurboTax is great and it still is Except for one issue. Your program FROZE up when I was about to print my AZ tax return. I had to use the Task Manager to END the program because it FROZE up. Other than that the program was great. But I'm now going back to it, to see if there was anything else to do.

Turbo Tax required more work than I bargained for. When Turbo Tax interfaced with the Vanguard site, there were numerous errors that required fixing. For some reason, some of the fields in Turbo Tax were not populated. This required additional Log ins to Vanguard to correct these errors

It all started great until my cursor stopped showing on the software - tricky to navigate without that. After trying several fixes, I decided I had to close the 2025 Turbo Tax desktop app to get my cursor to come back. It deleted all of my information I spent 30 minutes inputting - even though I saved the information. Had to start over. Not sure what happened, but I paid a lot for software that didn't save simple text information. Once I started over, no issues and got a decent refund.

Turbo tax works fine and is pretty simple to follow. However, they changed the 1099 input process this year and it no longer is like the W2 where you see the boxes in the order. All you get is a box with a single number in it and have to drill in to see more. Also, the Qualified Charitable Distribution for IRA is missing entirely although the online help says it's there. I am still investigating, but really QCD should part of entering the 1099R.

Entering interest and dividends myself was a bit confusing. Liked it better when you simply provided a list from previous year and clicked on the payer and entered the new numbers. Seemed to go around in circles this year. Entered the payer on your first screen, then continued, then had to go back, and after another click saw a few boxes to select whether it was for interest, dividends, etc. Was incovenient and time consuming.

It seems to get worse every year. Spent hours searching for checkboxes hidden deep in the guts of the software. Trying to research the help function is a crap-shoot.. I was extremely lucky to be able to find solutions, which were often so obscure I'm shocked that anyone found them in the first place.
