I was unable to find how to put a check after the Statement that appears on the 1040SR just underneath the SS#'s. It states: Check here if your main home, and your spouse's if filing a joint return, was in the US for more than half of 2025. So it is blank but it should have a check. The return was e-filed today.

Driving us towards cloud-based by making desktop more painful is poor form. On top of that, elimaniting "ItsDeductible" was a bonehead move. Next year, whoever has that capability will get my business. You guys took a good thing with a loyal following and practically have asked us to look elsewhere.

Desktop version does not E-File if you are enrolled in IRS IP PIN. The IRS IP PIN uses a 6 digit number. Turbo Tax only allows for input of a 5 digit number, although the printout shows a 6 digit space. The 5 digit number is not printed out on the 1040 form. So you either print and mail, or opt out of the IRS IP PIN system.

I had one problem by adding a 1099-R manually and several days later I downloaded my brokerage accounts which duplicated my 1099-r revenue cause a a duplicate revenue. I could not delete the extra 1099-r revenue so I started a new return and added my downloaded brokerage first, and then added the other expenses which in my case were not a problem for me. Every thing else was processed with minor errors in the return check provided by turbotax

I have been a TurboTax user for over 10 years and typically rave and recommend to others. This year I am extremely disappointed in the product and do not plan to purchase for my 2026 returns or continue recommending. Reasons - 1) discontinuance of an incorporated Its Deductable charitable valuation tool. Not disclosed in product advertisements before I purchased and alternative promised tool too late for me to wait for. 2) late availability of 1099 R form, and included form to ask for notification by email when available was nonfunctional as it included another prefilled form number. 3) Buggy charitable contributions entry with disappearing entered contributions if you deleted another charity form after making entries. Disappointing. I plan to change tax software next year.

Five restarts of my laptop (3 year old Apple, updated immediately before installing TT2025) were required to finish filing. Three of these resulted in all data entered being lost due to the software freezing while attempting to save with a password, or being unable to enter data into fields for a second (newly added) W2. The dropdown for the security question froze onto the screen (blocking the help menu in other apps) and alsop required a forced restart. This was a fairly simple refund thatnormally takes 45-50 minutes to complete, bu turned into a 2-hour schemazel. After 19-years of TurboTax, which has gotten progressively worse in each of the last 3-years, this will be the last year I spend money and time on it, fighting software glitches.

Turbotax has always been very accurate in my experience. The deluxe version is very compatible with my taxable situation. I never have to hunt around for what I am looking for.I haven't interfaced with the extra help from experts. I haven't needed the extra guidance.

The import from a printed tax return copy from last year that I had on my computer didn't work, possibly because it had everything including worksheets. I had to manually enter my 1098-T for school expenses because the program didn't prompt me for it. It also somehow entered a fuel efficient car somehow that I had to manually delete, which had to be deleted because it wouldn't let me efile with it in, and just kept sending me back. All in all I think that the product was more difficult to use than in past years. Also I felt like I had to reenter my address information multiple times, which was not good. This box is entering my typing slowly, so when I type fast it loses typed characters. Also having to enter "Review Title" and "Nickname" before accepting my comments is bad human factors. Why do I need a "Nickname"?

The UI for the online versions did not allow me to choose anything other than Expert Assist, which I didn't need and was twice the cost of the desktop version I ended up purchasing. I did my return twice: once online, and when I realized I couldn't file without paying for the superfluous Expert Assist, I had to do it all again on the desktop version. V. frustrating

I have been a solid Turbo Tax user for many years, I found this year's preparation to be more challenging than in past years. My tax situation has changed significantly this year as did tax law. None-the-less I did not find this year's software to be as "uncomplicated' as in the past. This year I was not confidant when I filed. Some steps lacked information and/or instruction and made me feel very uninformed.
