Went through the program with Turbo Tax guiding me. I always do it this way so that I don't miss anything and the software let's me know if there is anything new for the year. This went smooth this year as the explanations in each screen were really good this year.

I've been using Turbo Tax for probably close to 30 years now and I have always found it relatively easy to use and accurate when it comes to filing a return. I like the options to skip sections if you know those areas don't apply to use and the ability to load in a previous year helps especially when you know that from one year to the next there is nothing that has changed so bouncing the current year vs the previous year is a huge benefit.

Your questions about receipt of RMD are confusing and misleading, and perhaps inaccurate. They imply or state that the entire RMD was paid 31 December 2025, and that is not correct. Many people also receive RMD's in June, and 31 December is not the payment date for December. Too many questions ask for information that has already been enetred.

2025 version of Turbo Tax was incomplete, having to manually enter some information by forms. The UI was very inconsistent compared to previous years. For example graphics displayed implied you could click, however, you had to scroll down to click Continue. UI varied between sections sometimes displaying a pencil image for editing and other times and Edit box. Some boxes showed Revisit and after going in to the section the prompt did not change, implying you had to revisit again.

Early versions of the program (February) were extremely buggy. In particular, the procedure for reporting educational expenses from 529 Plans did not work through the end of February and even after it was "fixed", it was extremely cumbersome compared to previous years. You need to do your own product testing and stop making your users into beta testers.

The major thing I do not like about TurboTax is that it says one free state e file but the last two years it has made me pay for it and it is not just $25 the total is $65 which is basically what I paid for TurboTax in the first place. Next year I will be mailing my state taxes.

This version is not nearly as easy to use as last year's. Disappointing. It demanded that I finish Penn, before I did a federal review. There is no space to add a misc. and tell what it is. Program didn't give a choice..you must choose but none of them fit.

I was appalled when learning after paying over $70.00 for the Turbo Tax Software, you then wanted me to switch to Turbo Tax Online and then then double what I had already spent for an online Consultant or what have you. I'm not sure I like the direction you're going in and will be considering ending my automatic renewal for next year. I'm skipping the review, I don't it's a good idea to put anything in writing at the moment.

After a product update the user can't see what was specifically updated. Only a general comment. Used to be able to see what the update entailed. Why changed? In the "Step by Step" view, some categories show "Available Now". Data can be entered for the category but does not show in the summary. Program glitch? Explain.
