Turbo Tax sucked!

This was the 1st time Turbo Tax was not so good. At the end of filling it did not wanna to allow entering the credit card number. Afterwards it did not let me submit the Federal tax. It was always pointing to the same question. The "Tax-exempt interest" from last years tax (2024). Your explanation about it was very poor and cost me a lot of money, because it was not accepting the values I had entered. So, I had to change it to a value ($) that I picked up from a the tax returned of last year from (2a and 2b). Then it accepted it. In other words it sucked. The imports did not work either. It was a very bad software.

TT is great, but don't explain a shady e-file fee.

Have used TurboTax for decades. Find it easy to use. Never had any audit problems. Simple to move through the steps to enter information and understand precisely the proper way to find the info. The electronic filing option is great. However, if your state requires an e-filing fee, choose the pay by credit card option. This limits your payment to only the state filing fee, and the federal e-filing has no charge. If you select the pay the state fee from your federal refund, there is an added step in TT's process involving a 3rd party and you are charged $40 for that step, on top of the state fee. TT should fully explain the cost of this option. There is no mention of it. Thus,, 4 stars, not 5.

unusual error

I had one problem . The federal audit did not catch an unused w-2 from 2024 and i didn't either. The e-file was rejected. I deleted the old w-2 and resubmitted it. It's very likely the IRS will reject it again because you only get one chance at filing.

TurboTax makes it difficult at the end

Good experience filing out the federal and state return information. BUT, the process of charging a $25 fee for filing my state return was exceptionally difficult. In the end, I had to open an Intuit account. No one else makes it so hard to charge $25 to Discover Card. Please fix this for my 2026 return!

IMPORT ISSUES

FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH TT. THIS WAS REGARDING IMPORTING FINANCIAL INFORMATION FROM MY FINANCE CO. IT APPEARS THERE WAS AN UPDATE FEB 23 BUT STILL WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE "ALLOW" BUTTON FOR IMPORTING. I MANUALLY HAD TO TRY TO ENTER SAID INFORMATION AND NOT SURE I HIT ALL THE CORRECT FORMS. WE WILL SEE. THIS IS THE MAIN REASON I USE TT BUT IF THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM I MAY HAVE TO SWITCH. MY RETURN IS EASY BUT NOT THIS YEAR.

Not worth the bother of buying early...fee creep i

I have been a customer for many years. Doesn't pay to buy your product early as so much is not available. i like to get things early...unfortunately, you are part of the problem and not the solution. i also don't appreciate how you have increased your add on fees.

Unhappy

I could not import the data I entered in It's Deductible. I saved the data in October but the file format was wrong. I have used TurboTax for over 20 years, including It's Deductible. Next year I will use H&R Block as I'm told they have non-cash charitable giving software.

Important omission from TurboTax payment options

I always make tax payments online at IRS.gov. At the final stage of using TurboTax (desktop) I was forced to select from only four (4) payment methods: 1, bank debit; 2, credit card; 3, mail a check; 4, installment payment plan. I could not select online IRS.gov. I called TurboTax hep, and was told to select "mail a check" and then later just use my online method. This forces the user to misrepresent their intentions. A fifth option should also be offered: online payments.

It's a great tool but you can't use Windows 10

I was still using Windows 10, and did not know TurboTax would not work with my operating system. I had to use my laptop as a workaround, and consequently a this required extra steps after we had already downloaded it to our desktop. Due to a service provider's lack of diligence, my first pass found 85+- errors due to missing fields in 1099-R's. Having to complete each form was tedious and disappointing. I realize this is not a TurboTax issue.

Very disapointed with turbo tax

I had a problem with a amended tax return. The rep from turbo tax, told me it takes 3 weeks to catch up. they suggested I mail the return. My turbo tax gave me a receipt that I sent the return electronicaly. But when i did the amended it said it was Never sent
