I always have used the downloaded version, I'm used to it. I am concerned about the online version. I need to talk with one of you about the pros and cons. I suggest having a quick overview of new tax law provisions at the beginning to know what to expect. I spent an hour or more looking this up myself . Also provide an easier way to figure out Identity Protection PIN - it's buried deep in the "Other tax situations" with limited explanation.

Used a tax prep service in the past and was ripped off. Have been using TurboTax for the past 10 years now and won't ever go back to the old way of having someone else do it. The interface is easy to use and guides you through every step and every possible deduction without taking a chunk of your return to do so. The ability to do both State and Federal E-file is so convenient and works perfectly with our busy lives.

Very helpful except in identifying a typo I did and in inputting a 1099 by hand. Also problematic when a financial organization wouldn't import. Same business multiple years. I had to use chat for guidance when the instructions were too general or didn't tell you where to find an item to check it.

NOT SURE WHAT ALL YOUR UPDATES TO THE PROGRAM WAS THIS YEAR BUT....the 1099 R info was a freaking mess. We have 2 pension account 1099's and one IRA 1099. The pension info that you requested was the most confusing mess I have seen using Turbo Tax since 2000. Finally today 2/27, after working for hours to input these accounts, I had to delete one completely, add it back in and the magic wand waved over the whole thing and the stupid questions disappeared. Also sometimes I would click on an information box and nothing was there.....is anyone checking their work? I am 80 years old, if this keeps up I will not be able to work through Turbo Tax to do it myself. INTUIT, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

Features/Sections not available when product purchased in January, bugs in software, some drop down fields do not function properly some forms do not update properly when revisited/Modified. May go with another software next year or return to doing it myself and filing paper

TT kept crashing at startup. Popup appears, but before you can select the form to continue, TT application disappeared. Very fustrating. Dont like the idea cant download TT from Microsoft Store because Intuit wont collaborate with Microsoft to allow Windows S (Secured) OS systems to use TT. DOnt like recommendation to disable Secured. (3rd year complaining about this.

The biggest problem I had this year with Turbo Tax was handling the tip income that was not broken out on the new 1099NEC form. Trying to generate a Schedule 1A was problematic. The 2 Questions asked were misleading especially number 2. It appeared that those were disqualifying categories. Needs to be worked on. th

I did not need tax advice during preparation. However, there were two issues with TurboTax which were quite vexing. First, I received a warning that I had underpaid Required Minimum Distribution and woudl incur a penalty. But there was no indication from which of three possible accounts I had underpaid nor by how much. I had to figure it out by trial-and-error. Secondly, the Mississippi state return required entering an "Other State" code before it would permit e-filing. There was no "other state" to report. So, I repeated an entry MS as the "other state." I as not pleassed with TurboTax this year.

My goto Tool for doing taxes for the whole family for more than a decade. Two grown kids, a brother in law, and my joint return, every year. Thorough step by step walkthrough, but I like to go down the rabbit hole, so switch to Forms view quite often. I've used H&R Block as well, and it's fine, but TurboTax is the one for me.

I like turbo tax but there are errors in the program for filing an amended return for 2025. 1) it doesn't print the 1099-x form. all other forms print but only a blank page for it. Even with going directly to the form itself. 2) there are mixed messages regarding electronic filing for an amended return. The info indicates that electronic filing is possible but the step by step says it must be printed and mailed
