The only issue I had with this year's software is when I went to print copies your forms are all PDF's. When my pc converted them to word documents, the cells and boxes where numbers were to go didn't line up, so now my printed documents aren't really good documents to look at.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years now and am happy with it overall. My only suggestion is to get someone to help you write "Guidance" balloons that can translate said expert info into PLAIN LANGUAGE that the rest of can understand. In other words, the experts need to remember what they didn't know when they didn't know it. I spent more then 2 hours trying to figure the directions on sales of stock/crypto, etc. For instance, your wording regarding crypto ownership is NOT the same as that I found on my 1040 AFTER I filed. So, now it looks like I owned Bitcoin as a result of gift, gaming, reward, etc. - when I bought it outright. How much problem that will be - I don't know....but, if I get audited, I will be taking advantage of my free Audit coverage <G>

I can't remember exactly where it was, but some of the Guidance questions were so vague. I do remember one spot in the guidance where it was talking about entering Social Security amount below where it already had an amount and it did not give enough information for me to easily understand what numbers if any I should be entering. So if that was fixed it would be nice. Just don't put guidance questions that are to vague or don't give enough information as to where to find the information for that spot. Need to give more information on several guidance questions. I also feel like that when purchasing this product, that the State E-Filing should also be free.

Software was good and made tax filing easier. One problem was when I went to file state taxes. I had the Deluxe edition with state included but no e-filing. The flow would not allow me to NOT e-file the state even tho' all the forms were done. I backed up and tried it 5 times with same result. The guidance and interface definitely needs some work for if you want to e-file federal but not state.

The software is easy to use and can walk you through the process. Having the ability to import all institutions forms makes it so that there are no mistakes. My only suggestion would be to have the ability to import a PDF and pull the data from the file would be a good option.

The Mac version seems very buggy. It would not initially load past return and froze, forcing me to re-enter information. The second time around it did finally pull in my old return. I was initially prompted to use Online Version instead of the Desktop, but it failed to inform me that unlike the Desktop, the online version ONLY ALLOWS 1 FEDERAL RETURN. I do taxes for myself and do them for my Daughter. Therefore, after mostly comlpeting the online version I had to start over with the Desktop version so I can complete both mine and my daughter's return. When I tried to call support it was almost impossible to get to speak to a person, I gave up.

I've been using Turbo Tax Deluxe edition for many years. There is still an outstanding problem when you install the software on an external drive as I do every year to keep my tax information separate. I alter the installation path name and install successfully. The import function then finds my info from last year's return and works great. When I go to save my new return thought the path hasn't changed to this year's installation loction on the drive. I always find out when I'm ready to file. Unacceptable by now!

I bought the deluxe download version and believed that one state return was included - as advertised. I was surprised that I had to pay an additional $25 to E-file the state return. Also, I wanted to revisit my 2024 version of Turo tax (on my Win 10 Machine) but I was stopped at the software update function. I could not skip it and when I said ok to the update I received errors. This did NOT occurs with other past versions of the software! The software worked, therefore a 4 rating.

I have used Turbo Tax product to file our income taxes for at least 10 years. It has always been a very reliable product, and extensively thorough. This year, with the addition of the tax affected ...inclusions (or exclusions), the "no tax on tips, no tax on overtime and little or no tax on senior citizen benefits", there were some unique issues that caused me some frustration, when I couldn't dive deep enough into the free benefits of the program to locate answers and had to go to the experts on the phone. They did not charge me for this assistance. They were able to help me find the answers by changing how and where I put in the information. I may have saved myself a little frustration by requesting help sooner.

I have been using TurboTax for MANY year and cannot remember when I did not use the software. The reason I continue to use it is because I always get accurate results. In addition, I really like the user interface and the step-by-step features the program provides. Thanks to Intuit for providing such a great method for the average person to complete their taxes.
