Still, it appears the correct answer is to answer as if the pension payment was a 100% RMD payment.

I've been using Turbo Tax almost since the beginning of Turbo Tax, and no I'm not a tax person. Just an everyday individual. Each year it becomes so much easier than the last. Thank you for helping to keep my sanity during this stressful time of the year. Your explanations are clear and concise, and I'd recommend Turbo Tax to anyone.

Forms flow works great and is an excellent enhancement on top of step-by-step method. Step-by-step did not accomplish all that I needed; however, I was able to process using form mode. One function did not work well this year (but has in the past) - the ability to pull in investment information from third party investment houses (1099-INT/1099-DIV/1099-MISC/1099-B) did not work this year. The login was clunky and not documented well. The functionality absolutely did not work....ended up typing in manually. This functionality has worked in the past.

Preparing tax returns with TurboTax is easy and straight forward, however you need buttons to opt out of state downloads when you don't need them, and a button to update TurboTax later if you don't have time at that moment. Also, for the price of TurboTax, you should include a free state E-file for the state you are filing in. Your reason for not doing so is ludicrous.

I waited after having my State of Wisconsin efile rejected until February 13th after the updates to the State were uploaded and resubmitted them only to have them again rejected. I just resubmitted them again and fully expect another rejection which will force me to mail them in after paying $25 for the ability to efile them. Very disappointed, and I would expect to be reimbursed

I have obtained a 6 digit PIN from IRS+ID.ME, however, the version of Turbo Tax only allows for a 5 digit pin. I used the PIN from last year and my return was rejected. Turbo Tax is trying to force/push us into paying for the other versions. I'll just file directly from the IRS website or take it to an accountant.

Turbo Tax crashed and lost all my history. My previous year saved document did no populate history. I've been doing this since 2016. 2026/ taxes 2025 was very frustrating and different than what I'm use to. Said internet price was free, but wanted to charge me after filling out documents. I used desktop version like always.

While it's more convenient than filling out taxes manually, it is still extremely frustrating to use. Some of the questions are phrased for accountants. There are also some simple autocheck features that it doesn't use, for example I received two W-2 forms (pieces of paper) because I worked in two states, but Turbotax did not recognize that they should be the same form with two state lines.

In past years, it didn't matter how many times I went into Turbo Tax to continue my returns without having to use another license. This year, every time I went in to continue my returns, I have to use another license! So now, I either have to do my taxes all in one sitting, or I have to buy more than one Turbo Tax program! Rip off!

Everything was great. My only additional hope was to learn more about the depreciation options for the new pole building I constructed last year for my business. Was hoping to learn more about the 15 year depreciation option and when that applies instead of just doing the 39 year depreciation. But all fine.
