It felt outdated and sluggish at times. Missed explanations at times, had to search for help online. When filing at end it asked for IRS IP Pin but only accepted 5 numbers when my IP PIN is 6 numbers. If my return is not accepted I will try to updated review to 0 stars, if they let me lol. Will look for other software next year.

There is a bug in your software related to energy credits. I input the address of the property. When I did final review it found an error. Said I needed to input the address of h property, which I did again. Did final review and it said I needed to input the address of the property. I was an endless loop. Finally got someone on the phone and we were able to fool the software by saying the property address was not at my main residence (it was) and then I was able to enter an address and get it accepted. If I want to open TT to check something on my return, I should be able to bypass Update TT. Why do I need to sit for two minutes to update when I am already done? There should be a way to find the date a return was e-filed.

Turbo Tax sucks. I authorized a ~$6K payment, then the software would not file, instead demanding that I print and file, then write a check -- after I authorized. If I pay twice, you guys are in for a PR embarrassment beyond your wildest nightmares. You are a disgrace. Rep S. helped me understand the issue that your braindead software could not. Kudos to her.

1) Using Turbo Turbo tax for my 2025 on Windows 11 PC, I could not import my 2024 Turbo Tax info which was on my Windows 10 computer nor could I do so via Turbo Tax online, very disappointing and time consuming, especially since I had to buy a new Windows 11 PC just to do my taxes. 2) Using 2025 Turbo Tax for my Hawaii State taxes, with the step by step instructions, there is a very serious software omission to add my quarterly Hawaii Estimated Taxes that I paid every 4 months. Turbo Tax stated that I owed Hawaii $5,300 & when I continued with the step by step interview, Turbo Tax went through the accuracy check & stated that my Hawaii Tax return was 100% accurate when in fact I had to go find the correct State Form to manually input my quarterly equal payments of $1,900 x 4 = $7,600. I was able to receive a refund of $1,766. With such a serious error, I no longer have confidence in Turbo Tax which I have used over 18 years.

Maryland excludes a certain amount of pension income (such as IRA distributions) that are fully taxable as Federal income. The excludable amount is calculated in Worksheet 13a and reported on Forms 502 (line 10a) and 502R (line 11). However, TurboTax 2025 didn't include this exclusion as a choice in the list of incomes where Maryland differs from Federal. In our case, TurboTax didn't include any amount in 502 or 502R, and its final calculation showed us owing Maryland $12 rather than an actual refund of $2,400.

After downloading the "Updates", the program would not advance until I closed the program and then restarted. Almost like for computer software updates that require a restart before they work. It would be nice if TurboTax would tell us to restart after the "Updates".

Navigating to Home Office and Business Expense is a little difficult to find. Multiple screens to reach. I do us FLAGS which is a great help, but it should be easier to find. // Also, what about creating a separate tab for Business Income/Expenses and not include in the Income\ section. It seems out of place here.

This year's edition (Deluxe) was not as easy to use as last year. Also, it is frustrating when you cannot enter figures directly into the box but the program doesn't prompt you to go to Edit to enter the figures under Supporting information (or whatever it is called). Every year I have to figure out why I am blocked. It would be so simple to add the direction/instruction on the page!

This year, TurboTax would not import last year's returns from my computer. This was annoying and cost me extra time. I know you want people to use the online version. I do not want to use the online version. I realize Intuit could take my data through the software anyway, but I am trusting you not to do that. I am likely to continue using TurboTax and I would be pleased if you would restore the ability to import from one's own device.

I have used TurboTax many times and I like it. It's easy to use. I like the clarifying explanations and examples given to explain in more detail what is required.
