I have been user for more than twenty years perhaps more. The software often askes individual to enter information from previous tax year return while it has access to those forms itself. At the very least it can say point me to those returns. The help is awful. Many times the help uses the same confusing jargon as the federal tax forms and doesn't simplify the explanations. Navigating has gotten worse many times it doesn't go to next item on the list and instead one has to invoke review again.

1. I asked for the $10 discount on the first state filing, the software indicated my cost would be $15, but you charged me $25 anyway. Not nice... 2 When a correction is need (error) should have a link directly back to where the correction is needs not require the preparer to shuffle thru the Q/A software until he finds the right place

Dislike the dark pattern of filling out state taxes before being informed of $25 fee, and dark pattern of attempting to add a $45 fee for deducting fee from refund without fee being presented in standard way (it's bolded but not in the usual Total: Price format). While I understand "line must go up" every quarter which is NOT Intuit's fault, I do hope you have team members internally advocating against distasteful revenue enhancement tactics. Thank you.

Turbo Tax does a relatively good job of helping one file their taxes. My two complaints would be: 1) Intuit needs to update the IRS address to send 1040-ES and 1040-V (estimated tax payments and payment vouchers) for states like California 2) California Form 3840 (Like-Kind Exchanges) has a glitch that prevents a taxpayer from efiling the CA tax return. The glitch is that the software insists that more than one property be listed in section A, part 1 for properties that were given up. There is frequently not more than one property given up and this glitch creates an error and therefore the CA 540 tax return cannot be efiled.

This was my first time to use TurboTax. In the past I've used CPA's to prepare my taxes. I especially liked the feature that enabled me to import my 1099's. Since I wasn't that confident, especially for the foreign tax credit portion, it was extremely helpful to be able to pay a nominal fee to access a tax expert. Tax Expert Johan was very helpful. He patiently walked me through my forms and answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns.

Terrible software, flags some errors in a worksheet that don't even matter. Then gives a terrible description of where the error is in the forms and forces you to dig around and find where exactly in their worksheet (which isn't available to you, by the way..) they have something messed up

I have been using Intuit's Turbo Tax for many years, and have never failed an audit. The software is very accurate and easy to use. I would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone who wants to do their taxes. By the way, you can also get the Audit coverage which might be helpful

interface for inputting investment income(interest, dividend, sales etc) were cumbersome and hard to follow in Premier this year, taking much longer than necessary. 2023 and prior were much easier. "Help" staff offered suggestions which were outdated and not in synch with the 2024 screens. Please make the interface better next year.

Every time I start Turbo Tax it takes an eternity to download updates and install them. This is quite unacceptable from a user experience point of view! 2. I have a $10 credit in my account when I purchased Turbo Tax but I was charged the full $25 for my state tax refund , instead of the $15 that I expected. Classic bait and switch move by Intuit.

Generally good, but there was not an easy option to return to the home page to open another return when I was done with one. Had to close TurboTax and reopen. More importantly, TurboTax did not automatically add the "kiddie tax" forms for filers who are dependent and had investment income over the threshold. If I did not know to do that myself the returns would have been incorrect (very).
