I would sign up for the Turbo tax advantage but when u add it all up it is too much: This yr TT was $80, online help was $30, Tax Audit will be $45 and VA state efile was $25. Why would anyone pay $117 for just the 2025 TT alone? Give us a real deal and maybe I will consider it. Thanks for the helpers I had with online help. Tax Audit folks always seem to be nice. I am done!!!!!~

The product works well, but it has a few annoyances. Why must I enter my routing and account numbers twice? I was already asked to enter them and verify when filing my federal taxes. Why do I have to repeat the same process when filing federal taxes?

Overall excellent; one area for major improvement- on state returns - you should add something specific regarding if you have interest income from US Treasury obligations which are not taxable at state level and therefore need to be subtracted off income before the state tax is determined; there should be a question about this and I did not find it useful on TurboTax helped me here.

Taxes are never pleasant particularly when they are paying for a regime that has gone rogue. However, Turbo has made it simple and straight forward and allows the common man, although I have a number of degrees including economics, to go through it fairly quickly.

In the past, I had always completed my taxes manually. This process would usually take me a week to complete. With turbo tax, I compile my information on the first day. I download Turbo Tax and complete my taxes on the second day. Turbo Tax enables me to get the best tax return!

My experience was ok. After doing my taxes for 55 years and using TT for the latest 15 years of that run I must like TT and I do. I found the purchasing process very difficult and annoyiing. I really wanted to give the direct filing procedures a try but it just didin't wok out. Technically, the material is ok but can always be approved upon. As far as the process itself my suggestion would be to use a risk based method to enable the taxpayer or service professional to collect the information about the return and let AI compile the specific binder of forms and instructions by individual. Let the taxapayers engage in that process.

It asks me questions of last year's taxes when I have made it available to the software. Why do I have to go back into last year's pdf and try and find this weak software's question? This system is acting like it did not do my taxes last year. Really?

I have been using Turbo Tax for more than thirty years. Initially, I was impressed with the layout, the intuitiveness of the program paths and the ease in which it handled most tax situations year after year. Some years there would be "the gap" in that intuitiveness to where you would come to a complete halt. The interview questions would be posed so awkwardly as to be misleading in their intent. In other cases information that was entered was correct. Yet a glitch would place it on the form inexplicitly with the decimal point two places from where it should be. But the worse and most disturbing and reoccurring problem that has been the handling of the IRS IP pin numbers. It has never been fully addressed where it should be in the "Final Steps". There are for many, if not most of us: TWO pin numbers that should be addressed: the INTUIT pin numbers 5-digit numbers, and the IP pin numbers issued by the IRS each year and will cause your e-file to be REJECTED if they are not included in your return. You have yet to address this properly for at least five (5) years. There is no mention of it in the check-out process. This has caused me no end of grief. There is no indication in the program to input this crucial information. I have found there are many of your users with the same problem. It is time to put this front and center of your "Things to do." list, and get a major roadblock out of the way once and for all.

I have been using Turbotax since 2009. Each year I have the same problems. You don't know that I have purchased the program for the newest year. I have to start all over again. Likewise, I purchase the expert help, but you don't know that either. I have to repay and then begin help with the expert. At the end of filing you tell me I did not purchase the expert help, when in fact I did. The left hand never seems to know what the right hand is doing. Other than that, your service is excellent.

About 20 forms were not completed by uploading from Schwab. Many had the same form title, so I just kept entering the same dividend amount over and over. The forms weren't any different in any way. I just noticed the amount I had to pay kept going up, so by enter the same amounts, I may be over paying. Also, I did the complete walk through, and Turbo Tax didn't ask me about any estimated payments. I am very disappointed with the quality of service this year and will look elsewhere next year.
