This covers everything about tax filing that I have to deal with. I like the desktop product over the web-based one since I have much more flexibility and freedom to make manual changes if necessary and easily go back and forth between the actual forms and step-by-step instructions. My favorite feature is the document import. My life would be so much harder without that.

I've used TurboTax Premier for my federak and state taxes for ~20 years. In past years, I found errors in the program's ability to properly handle the taxation of in-state municipal bonds and in the calculation of the Form 1116 foreign tax credit, but this year I had no difficulty with the program for these, admittedly, common situations. The program worked well and had no glitches.

Overall pretty happy with the product. However, the changes they made in the reporting of interest and dividends are a total failure. None of the direct imports work. Cant find the bank or login does not work. Had to put in everything manually. Worked so prefect in the prior years. Why make these changes to the worse.

Turbo Tax is an incredible program for filing taxes. No matter how complicated your taxes are, the step by step review takes you through every piece of information needed for your return. I have used Turbo Tax for years and would not use anything else.

You disallowed me from e-filing with no reasonable explanation; saying there was a form needing a signature, which I believe to be in error, but you would not allow me to review the form and didn't try to explain the problem. I paid for e-file! Without a full explanation and the ability to correct an error (I've never had this happen before and this year was nothing unusual) I feel ripped off. I've used TurboTax for years but I doubt I will purchase Turbo Tax next year - again feeling like I paid for something that I did not get.

I have used TurboTax for many years. It has a reasonable cost. I most enjoy all of the import functions. Since I have used it for multiple years it imports the basic personal information from the previous years forms and flags deductions you made as a reminder to check those deductions in the current year. The ability to import tax data from financial institutions is a peace of mind and greatly streamlines reporting income and filing all the proper forms. In the past I have had crypto and TurboTax handled it with no problem.

I have used this product for several years and have always been very pleased with it. There were changes this year that I felt made it less user friendly. The worst was at the end when I wanted to file and could not indicate I did not want to purchase the AUDIT. The AI gave me an email concerning a charge on my account I did not want. I NEVER charged it. I simply did not want to charge it and could not indicate that.

I called TurboTax Help last year about a "Review" feature that incorrectly flags our residency dates (from 01/01/2024-12/31/2024) as an error (overlapping dates exceed 366 days). This is not an error. We live and work in separate states. I hoped the bug would have been corrected this year, but it wasn't. If nothing else, the Review flag should allow for an override to explain why the dates are correct. In addition, a bug exists in the 1099-B data entry screen. The "Learn more" link contains entries not in the "How did you acquire this asset" pull-down. I also inadvertently deleted a rental property asset and felt the best way to recover was to create a new Tax Return from scratch. It would have been nice if I could have run two instances of TurboTax, which would have allowed me to compare the two Returns side-by-side and then copy/paste from one into the other (as opposed to entering data a second time).

You are only being rated fair because 1) you no longer provide CD's which is critical to my preferred way of using a computer, 2) your tech support for loading Turbotax onto a Mac and PC was not only terrible but falsely claimed that I could not use one license for both a Mac and a PC, 3) the answer on both the internet and from tech support was that I needed to buy two copies of Turbotax to load Turbotax (Premier) on a Mac and then a PC was not only false but it will be unacceptable in future years 4) Turbotax questions on state taxes are basically false since I live in Florida and it is quite agravating that I got at least 4 requests to file state taxes after Turbotax determined I did not need to file state taxes 5) the quality of your product has deteriorated since 2022.

You changed the interest and dividend income areas this year when copying previous year. Liked the last year method better. Many forms from the same financial provider, yet no way to pick the right one to update for the new year without opening each one. Need additional information in the item description to help locate which one to update.
