I can't print from TT file. Get this message "Please wait while we prepare your tax forms for printing. This initial setup process may take 2-3 minutes. Thank you for your patience." At this point the color wheel spins, stops and the dialog box disappears. The screen reverts to the PRINT FOR YOUR FILES screen w/o printing.

Overall TurboTax is a great product and easy to use. The only downside is that sometimes you have to restart your computer every time you download a Federal or state return for it to pick up all the information accurately. It's not bad, just time consuming.

several entry boxes don't allow pasting, have to type long inputs that would be much easier if i could paste. Trying to download my 1099s from Vanguard was a failure. Strange request for account # then form ID??? Managed to get one this way but found I had 3 so had to enter data from other two manually. I think it was not this messy and failing way last year. Always some old and new aggravation each year.

Completing K-1 forms is always a pain, but made worse by TurboTax preventing me from deleting incorrect demographic information when entered by mistake. Specifically, State and Zipcode could not be deleted without completing the entire K-1 all over again. Moreover, one should not find out at filing time that a field may be missing an entry, specifically another K-1 field, the Tax Payer's Federal ID No. Other than that, TurboTax was fairly easy to work with. Filing this year took less time than I expected.

The Foreign Tax credit needs improvement. The program limits 1 country for 1 brokerage account even if the brokerage account has several countries. The directions to fill in entries in sections needs to be consistently concise and inform what exactly is needed before entering the entries instead of waiting until entering amounts then saying ‘Oh, you need this info also’ and then it is a mess trying to back up, go forward, or get to that data entry point again. When you enter interest & dividends on the income section, you cannot go back and edit to add a 1099 B amount. A separate form must be filled out for the same brokerage account.. And when you click the edit button, it takes you to the top of the form instead of staying in the section you want to edit. But it will not let you enter it anyway…….

I would have rated this product 5 starts except for your print options. The only option when you E-file your federal return is I will E-file my state returns or I will E-File my state returns later. There should be an option to E-file my federal return and print my state returns for mailing. It would be much easier that way. Furthermore your nickname should not be required.

I've been a loyal user of TurboTax software for the pass 10+ years & it's definitely an excellent application that is user friendly to create & to save time by filing tax returns online. I did have to buy a new computer about 3 years ago due to your software application not supporting OLD operating system on my MAC PC. Hopefully, I understand that you are constantly upgrading your software to be more robust, but not to much where the software affects the Operating system where a NEW MAC PC is required ? FYI... My current OS on my MAC is Ventura 13.6.1

The product does not always keep field you have checked .. Checked when you go back through. Plus the continue button/ yes/no button are moved around on the page. Many times below the bottom of the page. It may be due to font size on my computer but many of us are older. May be to help prevent someone from hitting it by mistake but people that have used it before understand how it works.

Turbo Tax is easy and takes you through the tax filing process step by step. Just have your documents ready when you start, W-2, property tax, receipts, donations paperwork and any other paperwork. I have been using Turbo Tax for years without any problems.
