I've been using TorboTax for Windows since the 1990's. It's a great tax app but needs some tweaks for low-vision users. Turbo tax needs to add features to support accessability by low vison users, for example, ability to enlarge font size on screen and use Windows settings for screen displays to adjust display colors, black backgtound white letters. These teattter.e bks should apply to every aspect of the app. Thanks for a great product and please help me see it better!

Turbo tax did not tell me in advance that i needed to upgrade my computer to accept 2024 turbo tax. I had to upgrade my imac completely to the tune of $2000. I know my imac was 9 yrs old, but it worked perfectly! You should warn clients from now on! Also, I could not deduct the $25,00 from my federal refund like you said I could. (Indiana) I had to use my cr card . Scammers shift web sites sometimes, without us knowing it. I think they are smarter than we are! I dont like to give my cr card info to anybody!

Mostly works great. REALLY needs an upgrade to allow backtracking numbers to see where in the form they came from. Should be simple since this is a computer program! Also, if one is in forms everything jumps around if I hit ENTER or try to find a source. It will jump to another random form and fly up the left side list of forms.

Some of your explanations do not cover all situations. For example, I determined that I did not want to take the sales tax deduction but the software would not let me eliminate it once I calculated the amount. I had no other option but to accept it.

Madding. You need to fire the payment software provider. I wasted hours just trying to pay to download. Days later, it finally permitted entering the expiring month of my credit card. Then the actual software worked OK. To file state, it costs extra. Whatever. But the payment page was oversized on Windows Microsoft browser. I could not pay the $25. I saw this has been a problem for others for years. I tried for days. Finally it worked. It said I could file federal and delay state, so that is what I did. Now, it says I can't file state. Madding.

K-1 effort insisted that I check the "box" testifying that I had disposed of a part of my partnership, which I had not done. After hours of trial and error work, I finally omitted the information posted on my K-1 related to partnership interest, and the problem was solved. The program also insisted that I file as an S Corporation, which was equally absurd. Again, after hours of effort, I resolved the issue. In neither case was the answer evident, and had I had the opportunity to discuss the issue with a TT program and tax expert, I would have paid.

Excellent software. Very intuitive and step-by-step if you are a novice but it gives you the ability to skip the step-by-step if you are more experienced. The best of both worlds is that you can choose step-by-step for the areas that may be new or more complicated and skip it for the areas where you are more experienced. Nice integration of live tax advice and good detailed explanations within the software itself if you have a question about a specific line item or source of information on a line item.

I completed my taxes on March 29th and I thought that I had filed electronically. When after 5 weeks I had not received acknowledgement, I went to irs.gov to "check my status" only to find they had no record of it. I then went to computer to find my turbo tax file, but could not access it at all. I just got an "Error: 190". I did find a PDF of said tax return...but no electronic file that I could use. I have been using turbo tax for a number of years without a problem but this was quite disturbing

TurboTax 2023 was easier for inputting things out of order. Had to put in W2's manually. Search/assistant worked inconsistently. Had to log in E-mail and password a few times, aside from initial install. TreasuryDirect is not included in the transferable options.

I would really like it if Turbo Tax offered a service where I could warehouse my turbo tax file in case mine gets lost or corrupted. I lost my 2024 file and have spent a week redoing it. One advantage of the online version is that you have it. My problem is that I find the desktop version much easier to navigate.
