This year's TurboTax was much more difficult to use than previous years. The Interest and Dividends user interface was very cumbersome and I had to do a lot of navigation just to enter the information. Please go back to the old UI, which was a lot simpler and quicker to navigate than the new UI.

Turbotax is a complete failure. My taxes are late because of some ridiculous bug just in the entering of personal information. When I submitted my mother’s taxes, we went through the same thing. The fix was to delete certain info like address and retype it. Then it worked. This is absolutely ridiculous. When it was finally time to submit my own taxes, which was right at the deadline, I got the same error. But this time, I could not fix it. So I had to file for an extension. I will never use this product again.

WASNT SURE IF THE SITUATION FOR MY DAUGHTER (FOR WHOM I WAS FILING HER TAXES) WAS ACCURATE: SHE IS MARRIED, BUT NOT TO THE BIOLOGICAL FATHER OF HER DAUGHTER, THEY AGREED THAT RACHEL FILES WITH MARGOT AS HER DEPENDENT, NOT THE BIOLOGICAL FATHER AND MY DAUGHTER PAYS MARGOT'S CHILD CARE COSTS. QUESTIONS WERE ABOUT HER HUSBAND AND WHETHER SHE LIVED WITH HIM. i WASNT SURE IF THIS WAS BEING APPLIED TO THE CHILD CARE QUESTIONS OR TO SOME OTHER ASPECT OF THE RETURN. THANKS OTHER THAN THAT ITS GREAT.

I have used TurboxTax for 2 decades. Usually AWESOME. This year I had a 1031 like kind exchange. The software did not have a "wizard" for this and the path to get all the forms correct was convoluted. I had to file an extension this year. I went through half a dozen "Tax Experts" (advice) before the last one finally was able to help. She was wonderful. Took us 3 hours of on-line work to finally get a return correct that deferred my gains to the new property.

It went smoothly, as I expected. I don't even have an accountant! I use Quicken and generate reports from that, for input into the tax program. Logging each transaction and assigning it a category for Quicken is what takes the most time. Filing with TurboTax was relatively easy by comparison.

Always when I get to the review section TurboTax demands some number somewhere. I research it and try to put in the right number, and TurboTax says "wrong, must be between X and Y". In such cases, I really wish there were a feature to tell me "what number is most favorable to the IRS"? Trying to figure out that number is almost certainly not worth the effort... I'd rather just put in a number that ensures I'm slightly overpaying and be done with it! Also... this year I hit the dreaded "we hit a snag" error screen. I nearly had a heart attack as I was hours into the tax return. It kept demanding I redo the same section again and again and would not let me advance. Fortunately I discovered I could X the error window, save the return, exit TurboTax, and restart it, and that fixed the problem. The help I found online suggested "restarting from scratch"! Yikes! In the past I had been more paranoid and frequently saved checkpoints. That is a good practice and I will certainly start doing so again!

After using Turbotax for over 30 years,I will not use it next year. There are some flaws which haven't been fixed for years. The worst is the interface for entering information for Form 1116. It will only allow you to put in one country for which you pay foreign per 1099. Also I have had problems with charitable contributions of inherited public stock. I often asks for the condition of tangible property. In addition, because I filed for an extension and I went back to my TurboTax app to complete my return it was locked. TurboTax blamed Apple and Apple blamed TurboTax. I noticed that others have had the same problem over the years.I have never had this problem with any other documents.Can't send this review as It keeps asking me for my email. I have entered it correctly and completely. I needed to delete it and put it back in.

Attempting to file an amended return. Filing required NOT checking a checkbox which was the entire reason for filing in the first place. Claiming electric vehicle credit. IRS rejected credit because it claimed the VIN doesn't match. The VIN on my tax forms is CORRECT, and there is a checkbox on the amended return form that says I am certifying the VIN is correct. If I check that box (in accordance with the TurboTax instructions for this circumstance), TurboTax won't submit the return. Either the TurboTax instructions are incorrect, or this is a bug in TurboTax.

I had a decent experience with the product until it came time to file. I was unable, despite 100+ tries, to get past the "Hmm... " error when it came time enter my CC number for the state eFile payment. I finally gave up and printed my return and mailed it. So much for simplicity.

Terrible software, flags some errors in a worksheet that don't even matter. Then gives a terrible description of where the error is in the forms and forces you to dig around and find where exactly in their worksheet (which isn't available to you, by the way..) they have something messed up
