Thank you for your 5-Star review Tony, we're glad to hear you're enjoying this floodlight camera. You are correct, the installation of this one will be a bit easier onto a junction box which the majority of North American homes have, but there are also other ways to mount it. Junction boxes can also be purchased at a very low cost from your local hardware store if needed.

Please know you can manually turn the spotlights/floodlights on and off via the camera's live view (single view mode) screen by tapping on the light bulb icon. You can also use the app to choose how long the lights will stay on when motion is detected anywhere from 30 to 300 seconds.
