Hi Nitin. 30feet is at the outer detection limits of any camera which uses Passive Infrared sensors to detect motion. Typically this type of sensor is most effective at 15-25ft distances. The PIR on this camera is also quite sensitive to its vertical angle, so if you're able to angle it up a few degrees to the sky then you'll find its detection range will increase significantly. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection, though the more sensitive you make it, the more likely you will see some false triggers from other warm moving objects like wind or trees. -SD, Swann Team
