Have only run for 30 min. Once the carb. was primed the engine fired right up. No issues yet. The only concern was the shipping box and the packing. The frame above the gas tank was bent in shipping or handling. The shipping box could be improved.

Living in Florida is a challenge. After Hurricane Ian left us powerless for 11 days, with no electric to work the water pump and every electrical device in the house. When the dust settled, we realized we needed a strong generator to get us through any other outages. After much research, I settled on Westinghouse model wgen9500dfc, a 12,500-Watt dual fuel portable generator with remote start and a transfer switch outlet! The outlet is very important because the best setup for these generators is having a transfer switch outlet on the house that feeds into your breaker box. This is the safest way to run every system in your home following a bad storm with an outage. This allows you to plug the generator directly into the breaker box, block any incoming electricity from the power company so that you can select everything to be run on this big generator. Including your central air, which is a must in our hot humid climate. It's bad enough cleaning up after a hurricane, worse yet if you have no way to wash, clean, eat, protect, - all facets of home ownership here. Now that the new 2024 hurricane season is upon us, I've set up the brand new generator and following instructions to have it broken in and ready to go for the next emergency. We used non-ethanol gas which keeps your engines running clean. Follow the few directions to start the first time. It started right up! All by the push of one button. It's wonderful to not have to have a PhD to run a piece of equipment. Thank you Westinghouse, for an amazing all house generator of this quality. We have been living in the forest for 9 years and decided it was time for backup power. After lots of research online and YouTube videos we chose this model because of ease of use and the ability to attach it to our current fuse box of ease of use. We have gotten it started and ran the trial break in period and by following the directions it went well. Not always easy with us. (lol) We have an electrician coming to help us out with that. Our hope it to never need to use it but this generator will be there when we need it. The dual fuel is helpful, we use propane a lot and the gas option is great for better power.

I was amazed on how well it was packaged for delivery. Great looking unit. Unfortunately I haven't had to use it, since I received it due to several hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico. Will definitely get a plumber to hook up a gas line to my generator.

A heavy unit but does the job! For assembly, it's easierby flipping the unit sideways to install the wheels n stands. Hook n it runs. Have not tested it for full house power supply yet, will come back to updated. So far so good! No more worries of power shutdown by the tyrants. We got our own power and we stand up for our freedom!

This is a big and powerful generator. Given its size, it is still relatively easy to move around. The 50Amp outlet was easy to connect to an electrician installed plug on the outside of my house. Now, during a loss of power, I can run the whole house without a worry or a bunch of extension cords. The dual option is also a great option

I just received this. I researched for hours on line and decided this was the size we would need in the event of an outage. My only concerns are the handle was somewhat bent inward, I had to pry it out. Not sure if that was from shipping or manufacturing.

bought product online, shipped and received in reasonable time, manual is thourough, minimal setup and easy operation. only used once so far but operated with no issues, started up first try. plan to connect to transfer switch and house electrical panel later this year. seems to meet my needs. all controls clearly identified. good value for size versus cost. would recommend it to friends.

The quality of this generator is outstanding. The features are numerous and well displayed. The wheels and handle help maneuver this machine around. We have a lift on our truck and it definitely helps to be able to roll it up on a ramp instead of trying to lift it.

The generator arrived a day early, and appears to be everything it claims to be. Some minor assembly of wheels, etc, was required, but it was easy, and Westinghouse even sent the necessary tools in the packing box. The directions for initial start-up were clear, and it ran like a charm the first time. We are now ready for the next power outage, whenever it comes!
