bought this WGEN9500DF Generator to replace a B&S generator, which "died" with only 100 hours of use. In my country, Venezuela, light and prolonged crots are frequent, which requires a Generator. The WGEN9500 ​​complies with everything I required it to power my house, including a hydropneumatic pump.

We bought this as a just in case backup power source and boy are we glad we did. We live in the panhandle of Florida and had several thunderstorms with high winds come through our area. A tree blew over and knocked down the power pole and of course out went the power. Our backup generator gave us reassurance that we would be fine and we were. We've since had an install of a direct connection to our breaker box so we won't need the long extension cords and we feel ready to power up with our WGen 9500 DF with that reassuring secure feeling it provides. We may purchase another on for our other house in PA. Thanks for this product.

Did reviews and ordered this unit 5 days ago. Arrived this morning with two helpful and happy delivery men into my garage. Followed quick set up directions for putting wheels on, adding fuel and oil - 10 minutes max. Hooked up propane line and tank then added gasoline to tank. Turned over a few times but would not start on gas…(duh) I forgot to choke on initial gas start up - moved choke to full choke and unit fired right away . Turned off choke and unit remained running - let run on gas for 5 minutes then toggled fuel switch to propane, switch went well and continued to run on propane for 5 additional minutes. Everything was as advertised. Have not hooked to house yet but expect no issues as everything so far worked or was included remote key fob worked, oil funnel, assembly tools, wheels and propane line. Just received this. Have not run yet. Seems simple enought to operate. The wheels were fairly simple to attach if you have it propped up. The instructions on the oil level did not make sense though. Not screwing the dipstick back in seems hard to accurately see the level. Even when I screwed it all the way in, the full container of oil supplied only read to the bare minimum operating level. I'm not very pleased with that but I will talk to a tech to see what I need to do.

Heavy product but once the wheels and feet are installed it is much easier to move around. The plastic wheels don't give me much confidence, however, that they will last long. It is loud, but it is a 12KW generator! But...It runs my 4 ton AC and most everything else in my house so I am very pleased with it..for now!

Kelly and I bought this because a couple of times a year we will be out of power for a few days. We considered a whole house generator, but we decided on a portable one because we may move in the next few years. We normally would need backup power during the winter so we wouldn’t need to run the AC in the south. Even though this one would provably run the AC system. It was easy to assemble out of the box, put on wheels and rubber footing. Put in engine oil, fuel and it fired right up. We also have natural gas at the house, which would give us a more abundant fuel source. As gasoline could be scarce during extended power outages. I would buy this one again.

Generator operated as advertised. As an experiment, was able to power home A/C, washing machine, hot water heater, kitchen refrigerator, wine and beverage coolers, and assorted lights with only momentary hesitation in RPM. Propane consumption rate was higher than expected, but considering the wattage requested for the experiment, it was not unusual. Delivered without damage. Started on first press of remote button. Instructions were understandable.

Well packaged and easy to install wheels and mounting feet. Connected the battery cable and the battery charger. Filled it up with the included oil and filled gas tank. Then made sure the fuel selector was set for gas, turned the fuel valve on, turned battery switch to on and pushed the start button one time. The generator fired up, ran smoothly and wasn't as noisy as I thought it would be. Had looked at different generators and read all the reviews I could find. The Westinghouse just had all the features and great reviews and I am happy I chose it over the others. Only purchased this for power outages and will be having an electrician set it up for whole house power when needed. Been without power a couple of times before and decided this was a good investment to make.

I purchased this generator as a whole house unit, we live in a rural area on an "end" of the line utility service...so if the area loses power, we are the last to get it back. I wanted a unit that offered the flexibility of running on LPG for our home, yet a quick disconnect & I can take the unit mobile & operate it on gasoline. The handle & wheels make this unit very easy to move & place where needed.

Just received yesterday and completed the minor assembly required. Fired up on the first try with LP gas and I am ready for the next power outage. Push button start, remote starter key fob, and on-the-fly fuel change were the key features I wanted, along with the hefty 9500 running watts.
