I bought this generator after yet another huge storm blew through our town and left us without power for 4 days. This generator has a lot of bells and numerous great reviews online. I purchased the generator because it is large enough to power my house and keep my food cold and the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I'm tired of living in the dark when storms hit. I believe this machine will give me the peace of mind I'm looking for. I was satisfied with all of the positive I have read about this machine and hope I never need to use it , but glad I have it.

Assembly was easy right out of the box just having to install the wheels & fill with oil. Waited for my electrician to assist with starting it up for the first time. Went with the 50 amp whole house setup. Had to make sure the ground wires were correctly configured. Followed instructions to a T. Used the remote feature. It cycled twice before actually starting on the third cycle after enough gas was delivered to where it was needed. Ran 2 1/2 gallons through it at about 1/2 load as recommended. Ran for almost 4 hours. Ran the whole house. I haven't installed LEDs around the whole house yet & it ran everything. We did not try to run the AC & will do that in the spring. Was satisfied with everything overall. Hope this helps. If you don't know a lot about generators or electrical stuff definitely rely upon a professional to guide you through everything. I dictated the steps to set it up & install everything & I had my son video it all so I can rely upon that if needed in the future.

Have not used for emergency yet but assembly was easy and started with no issues. I have only run it on propane because I will use infrequently and didn't want to deal with draining the carb. Overall seems solid and will update if any issues once I use for loss of power.

I just received my 9500tfc generator yesterday. I put the wheels on, and oil into it, to try it out on propane. It fired right up, and ran way smoother than expected. I'm very satisfied with the results,and also, You did a nice job in packaging of the generator. I'm very happy with it.

I have had this generator for two years now. I start it every year at the beginning of hurricane season. Living in Florida and having lived through Hurricane Michael I appreciate the fact this is a dual fuel generator. Thankfully I haven’t had to use it yet in an emergency but it is here when I need it and it starts every time without fail!

We bought this after our 20 year old Generator gave up the ghost during the 2025 Ice Storm. This ran the everything we needed it to with and trouble. The remote start is a nice feature. If you are running it 24/7 the oil change schedule gets expensive. The fuel consumption was decent. So far it seems well built. The only real issue I have is the THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) is pretty high. This can cause problems with electrical items that are sensitive. It got us through 12 days of no power. I would recommend this generator to those that want something to run their house.

I'm impressed for several reasons, it is well designed for usability, it powered my freezers, fridge, lamps, wifi and an a/c unit during power outages caused by Helene. It starts like a champ, and runs on both gas and propane. I've mounted it on a heavy duty cart instead of the wheel package and can pull it with ease all over the farm.

I decided to crank up my newly unpackaged generator today. The setup was easy and well documented. Once I had everything ready to go, and using the remote key fob to activate it, it cranked up readily. It was really neat. This generator has a bold and solid appearance, much like I would expect a generator to have. I started/stopped it several times, and it performed flawlessly. It has some weight on it as one might expect a generator of this size to have, but with the large wheels and retractable handle it was easy to maneuver. It purrs smoothly when idling. I am looking forward to hooking it up to my house electrical input to see how it performs carrying a load. But so far, I am impressed and pleased.

Since you are reading this you are probably considering actually purchasing one. If you are like me, you have procrastinated on pulling the trigger. This generator was super easy to setup for a technically challenged user like me. Dual fuel gives gives you more options (I use propane). It powers way more than you will need (in a power outage situation). It’s solidly built and easy to maintain. Westinghouse is synonymous with electric power. Kudos!

I live on an island on the coast of Maine with the incumbent power failures, and purchased the Westinghouse 9500 DF about six months ago (99 hours of use) to replace my PowerStroke 6000 which is eight years old, still runs great, but wasn’t quite powerful enough to carry my whole house electrical system, and was getting older. This Westinghouse has been nothing but a disappointment. It constantly ”revs”, blinking the house lights when it has very little load. It shuts off on its own whim, sometimes starts and sometimes doesn’t. I’ve had all types of problems, both on traditional gas and using propane with it.(dual fuel) It seems to have no more power than my older 6000, despite claims that it’s much more powerful. In general, I use my much older smaller generator as my primary and only use this Westinghouse as a back up because I can never tell if it’s gonna run correctly. I’ve learned my lesson on buying this manufactures products. It won’t happen again.
