Fantastic product!

I haven’t had to use this in a power outage yet but we did do a test and I am confident this generator will be reliable and perfect for my families needs. The set up was so easy and It started up perfectly and powered everything we needed. The generator was much quieter than our old generator and the remote control is wonderful. I’m not wishing for a power outage but when one happens I’m more confident freezers will stay frozen and we will be comfortable

Ease of use/ duel fuel

This generator is so much easier to start by using either the electric start button or remote control. It is also provides so much more flexibility with the ability to use both gas and propane. Although heavy like all generators this size, it is fairly easy to move with the large handle and solid plastic wheels. Would definitely recommend the WGen9500DF for powering the whole house during a power outage having just tested its capabilities by turning off the main breaker and implementing the interlock switch.

Easy setup and starting

We just had a huge storm that knocked out power for 3 days. I decided I am not going through that again. I did a bunch of research and for the price point this is the best option for a lot of power 9500 - 12500 watts. Ill be able to run most everything should we lose power again. Its a solid unit and setup up to run was a matter of 30 minutes.

Easy set up; excellent features

This duel fuel works very well. It is easy to set up; just make sure you have a flexible tube funnel to add the oil and your are good to go. It is about as loud as any generator. I put it on a heavy duty garden cart with big wheels, so it is super easy to move. This is one of the best generators that has both 50 amp 240V and 30 amp 120/240V you will find that is portable.

Happy we bought this

We have been looking to replace our last generator that finally died a few months ago with something that could handle more power and was dual fuel. Last outage lasted 5 days. Never again, this one has the power, the features, is solidly built, was a breeze to put together, and we are pleased with our purchase.

Very Impressed

I just got my generator permanently connected to by home, so I haven't had a chance to just it during a power outage. But I am very impressed with the additional features that came on my Westinghouse generator. I will most likely get to try it out this week since colder than normal weather is predicted with below freezing temperatures.

Westinghouse dual fuel generator, is the best!

Living in Florida is a challenge. After Hurricane Ian left us powerless for 11 days, with no electric to work the water pump and every electrical device in the house. When the dust settled, we realized we needed a strong generator to get us through any other outages. After much research, I settled on Westinghouse model wgen9500dfc, a 12,500-Watt dual fuel portable generator with remote start and a transfer switch outlet! The outlet is very important because the best setup for these generators is having a transfer switch outlet on the house that feeds into your breaker box. This is the safest way to run every system in your home following a bad storm with an outage. This allows you to plug the generator directly into the breaker box, block any incoming electricity from the power company so that you can select everything to be run on this big generator. Including your central air, which is a must in our hot humid climate. It's bad enough cleaning up after a hurricane, worse yet if you have no way to wash, clean, eat, protect, - all facets of home ownership here. Now that the new 2024 hurricane season is upon us, I've set up the brand new generator and following instructions to have it broken in and ready to go for the next emergency. We used non-ethanol gas which keeps your engines running clean. Follow the few directions to start the first time. It started right up! All by the push of one button. It's wonderful to not have to have a PhD to run a piece of equipment. Thank you Westinghouse, for an amazing all house generator of this quality. We feel much more secure now especially with the forecasts of many storms this year. Sincerely Gina E

Reliable Performer

I bought this generator over 2 years ago due to COVID concerns. I have ran it occasionally since just to keep the battery fresh and use some gas. Yesterday we had a serious storm come through and experienced a power outage. I needed my generator for about 8 hours, and it performed flawlessly.

FIRED UP RIGHT AWAY!!!

Just got this in!! Added oil and gas..Fired right up with the remote start!!! Excellent so far!! I'm up in the foothills of CA and PG&E is cutting power all the time now. Had a Genarac 3600 But decided to go with a bigger stronger unit. Going to be hard wired into the panel in a week. So far so good!!!!

Great Features

Haven't had to use it yet but I am happy with it so far. I just had an electrician install the new box and plug and it will power most of my first floor and basement, which is more than I could have imagined. I like the dual fuel option and plan to run it on propane since there is a little less maintenance involved and don't have to worry about gasoline getting old. I did a quick 'dry run' and it is easy to start, and use. The remote will certainly come in handy when it is cold and wet out! Seven though it is heavy, the handle and wheels make it relatively easy to maneuver. So far I love it.
