The smoker, with the extra wood burning tray and the double insulation, is one of the best smokers I have ever used. I have been smoking for years and love the quality of the meat that comes out! It easily competes with and surpasses smokers three times the price. the only thing that could make it better is if they replaced the induction burner with a smokestack. If they did that, it would be, unquestionably, the best pellet smoker ever made.

I purchased this on sale ($394 is a heck of deal!!) after my 4.5yr-old Pit Boss Sportsman 820 caught fire during a multi-pork butt cook on July 4. It's salvageable, but I've been eyeing this one at Sam's Club, and I had gift cards. Assembly was actually an enjoyable 1.5-2hr project, as I took my time. I was able to do it solo, but definitely get help to move the box! Instructions were clear, and the individually labeled hardware packs showed a little higher end of care from the manufacturer. They even have 3-D instructions via the BILT app, which I failed to spot before completing the project. I've only gone through the initial burn-off, but I was pleased with the simplicity of operation, and everything about it seems heavy duty and top quality. There was definitely a heavy chemical smell during the burn-off, but it was gone while I cooled it down before shutoff, leaving only the quality wood-smoke smell of the pellets. The amount of pellets used for the 1hr burn-off at 400deg was pretty impressive, compared to what my Pit Boss used to go through at similar temps and times. This seems way more efficient. And, while the sear grate on my old Pit Boss came in handy a number of times, it proved to be a failure point after frequent use of the grill itself, and it did not survive the fire. I am actually glad the MM doesn't have anything similar. If I were going to nitpick anything: - While I appreciate the aesthetic of the grease bucket being hidden, I liked my Pit Boss' location to the side, where it was easy to spot and access when I needed to clean it out. - I wish the smoke tray actually featured a removeable tray for cleanout purposes. The Camp Chef Woodwind seems to be the gold standard on user-friendliness on the smoke tray (and fire pot) cleanout. I may try and find a small stainless steel tray to fit. Overall, these are still only initial impressions, but I am excited to do more cooks!

My first purchase was 2 years ago and every cook is as good as the last. I loved it so much that I dragged it back to Florida to share the splendor with my friends. Upon getting back to Arkansas my wife demanded I buy another to have one in each location. I acquired this one about 3 weeks ago and it's everything the older model is and more. It now has 5° increments for low temperature settings instead of the 25°, so you can really dial in your cooks. What is really impressive is the high heat capability to get sear marks on your steaks yet low and slow for pro brisket cooking. My tip for smoking is to put it on the upper rack, not directly on the lower grates. You can thank me later.

I've been using a pellet grill for 5 years before getting this member's mark smoker. I cooked on a stick burner before that. I've had this one now for a year and have used it to grill, smoke, and roast. The double insulation holds temps and pellets last for long cooks, including overnight. One tip to using the smoke box, use smaller wood chunks or wood chips and don't overload the box. If cooking at lower temps (180-220), put the wood chunks in at start up instead of after the grill is heated.

The Member's Mark pellet smoker is a serious fire hazard. While using it, flames suddenly ran up the auger and into the firebox, catching the entire unit on fire. I immediately contacted Sam's Club for a refund. They acted helpful, approved the refund, and promised a pickup within three days. Two weeks later, still no pickup, no refund, and nobody returns calls. They keep bouncing me around in circles. Do not buy this smoker — it's dangerous and Sam's Club won't stand behind their product

I really wanted to love this grill because the concept is great, especially having both a pellet smoker and an induction burner in one unit. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. I purchased this grill in May 2025 and have only used the pellet smoker one time. When I tried using it again, the pellet controller would only power on for 1–2 seconds before shutting off completely. The induction burner still works perfectly, but the pellet smoker is completely inoperable. I replaced the fuse, tried multiple grounded outlets, and performed the recommended troubleshooting with no success. After researching online, I found that many other owners have reported the same controller issue, which is concerning. I'm currently working with warranty support and hope they resolve the problem quickly. If they stand behind the product and make it right, I'll gladly update my review. Until then, I can't recommend this grill based on my experience.
