I thought it was worth investing in a printer that used bottled ink instead of cartridges. After all, HP is giving you 3 years' worth of ink. 10 months later, I was left with an unusable printer. I have lots of ink, but just can't use it. The printer started refusing to print. The display is VERY small and doesn't use words. I didn't know what the icon was trying to communicate so I just turned it off and on. That worked a few times, but then it refused to print. So I searched online and discovered the printheads were missing. Of course, they are not missing, so I followed the cleaning instructions. That didn't work, so I thought, I'll just buy new ones. They cost $80-135, depending on the supplier. However, all the genuine HP printheads were unavailable. The third-party printheads have terrible ratings. I then thought, I'd call HP customer service. Well, they don't have a phone number. You have to do it online and before they will help you, you have to enter the serial number. When I did, I learned that my printer's 12 month warranty is expired. I purchased it 10 months ago. If your warranty is expired, HP will not allow you to speak to a human. In fact, the only recourse they offer is their community forum. I checked AI, hoping the number was buried somewhere, but it is not available anywhere. So I called a sales line and got a real person. She checked my warranty and told me it expired a week after I purchased it. They go by the manufacturing date, not the sales date. She suggested I contact HP supplies. You also can't talk with them. You have to send them an email. I did and they emailed me back after a couple of hours. They told me the part was unavailable from them. They sent me three links to other online companies that sold HP parts. After searching these sites, I found out that they either didn't offer the printhead I needed or it was unavailable. I emailed HP back and they quickly responded that they had already sent me the information I needed. Needless to say, I will never buy an HP printer again, or anything else they make. I have learned, since starting down this road, that there are many online sources warning people about HP's customer support and its poor printers.

Hands down worst printer I’ve ever owned. I’m not dumb, I know technology and this thing is utter rubbish. It has buttons that are confusing and not clear what they mean. This thing is very hard to connect to WiFi. Once on the WiFi it constantly just won’t print. I finally gave up on wireless printing and bought a cord. Still won’t print on any of our devices. What an absolute pain in the butt this thing has been. My other hp I had for literally 12 years was a beast and so reliable. Worst $200 I’ve spent in a long time and I’m stuck with it. Very frustrating that my son constantly can’t print his homework. Piece of trash printer.

Can't get it to work with HP Smart app Need to use desktop app and toolbox to access printer But it scans and prints. Just not from Android phone.
