- 5 out of 5 stars review3/4/2026My epson home office printer constantly gave me nothing but trouble. Paper jams, ink issues, etc. Decided to make the switch to HP. So glad I did! Set up was quick %26 easy. It's been smooth sailing ever since. No paper jams, no ink quality issues...NO ISSUES. So pleased with this printer.
LOVE IT!
LESLIE - 5 out of 5 stars review3/23/2026Don't listen to anyone about connectivity of this printer. The setup was SUPER EASY! Downloaded the app. Connected it to my wifi and the printer was ready to use in minutes. Super simple instructions. Must buy! (and no: neither HP or Sam's club paid me for this review)
Absolutely amazing Printer. Superb print quality
SERGEY - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/6/2026It was difficult getting it set up to my computers. And the HP agent was getti g frustrated with me because 1. He talked too fast with his accent, 2. I'm used to buttons on my printer that make sense, not a little screen. At least give good instructions/directions in the printer info book. I don't want to have to get online all the time to figure out copy, color, fax, ...
Where are the Buttons
JoFloOriginally posted onhp.com - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/6/2026I purchased this to replace a printer I was having trouble connecting to my WIFI. This connects but often makes 2 copies rather than 1, and the only way I can get it to reboot is to unplug it. It won't reboot by pressing the on/off button. It works but requires a bit of extra care to operate it.
Not as pleased as I expected
cindyOriginally posted onhp.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/4/2026I love that the set up of my new Hp 7000 was fairly easy. I did stumble a bit as I went along, but I got it done. I love that it prints well and uses less ink that traditional cartridge printers. I am impatient, however, because it seems that I have to always go to Printers and Scanners in my computer, then to the printing preferences for this printer to check the settings, such as portrait or landscape, color, or size of paper, each time before I can print something. I am unable to do that from the print menu when I am trying to print something. This whole process takes extra time. Also, when I open a document on my computer, it seems to take extra time to connect with the printer before I can start creating my document. It's just e...
Great Printer!
RhondaOriginally posted onhp.com - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/4/2026This printer is slower than other HP printers that I bought more than 20 years ago. It does work all the time. Often, I have to recycle the power to get it to work. It also does not have a document feeder which should be a standard for any printer. Scanning multiple page documents is painful without a document feeder. All in all, I am disappointed that this printer has an HP name on it. I have been a loyal HP client for many years. I am not sure that I will remain as such.
Too slow and not consistently working
Mike EOriginally posted onhp.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/8/2026I was a little nervous about dealing with the ink bottles, but setup was honestly so easy and not messy at all. I’ve been really happy with the printer so far. Everything was simple to get up and running, and I really like the HP app and how intuitive it is to use. I also print on a lot of smaller paper sizes, especially 4x6 and 5x7 cards, as well as 5x7 photo paper, and it’s all been really easy to figure out and switch between. Overall, it’s been super user-friendly and has handled everything I’ve wanted to print without any hassle.
Easy Setup, No Mess, Great for Different Paper Sizes
Jess S.Originally posted onhp.com - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/6/2026The instruction book was not helpful. Didn’t provide enough detail on making multiple copies, sending faxes, sizing and darkening or lightening copies. Setup was much more complicated than any previous printer I’ve owned.
Complicated Setup
MynabirdOriginally posted onhp.com - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/4/2026There are not guidelines for paper placement when printing papers. Also, there is no simple self help instruction booklet in the printer box. I don’t want to look everything up online. I want simple booklet with printer in the box.
The printer is okay but lacks paper positioning
MeOriginally posted onhp.com - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/4/2026I liked the printer and printing speed however connecting the printer with the WiFi was a struggle Every time I wanted to print I had to reboot the printer and try many times I had to return it eventually
HP Printer
SMOriginally posted onhp.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/4/2026It takes having to reorder more ink more often away. I like that feature. I’m having issues with it, it shuts down and the only way to get it back is to unplug the power cord from the wall socket. Other than that I’m satisfied with it.

SheldonOriginally posted onhp.com - 2 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/5/2026I never had so much trouble with a hp printer before. I use it for work and I had many days now where it just won’t print nothing. I tried everything and nothing.
I had high hopes for this one
EbonyOriginally posted onhp.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/5/2026Love this printer. I have had 5 HP printers but none that performed like this one. The bottles of ink are so easy to use and l lot less expensive. It holds lots of paper and the HP app helps me navigate when I need a little more assistance.
Love this printer
HP all the wayOriginally posted onhp.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/4/2026This product was so easy to install and use. The color is vibrant on every page and the bottles make it so easy to load into the printer. I can send requests to print from my iPhone, iPad, or computer. Simple!!
New printer…..
Grandma SandyOriginally posted onhp.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/4/2026Fantastic print quality. Paper feed is excellent. Prints envelops and checks without missing a beat. Network setup could be simplified by including ethernet by default!
Great trouble-free printer.
Orion GuruOriginally posted onhp.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/4/2026Fast enough printing and long ink reserve. So far it's great. I went from a officejet 8600 all in one. Don't need all that bulk. This on is smaller and works perfect. A+ product
Perfect Balance
JgdallasOriginally posted onhp.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/21/2026I very much like the Hp Smart Tank 7001 Printer overall. However, I'm disappointed with the very small viewing window which displays info. I have to get very close to view the info and settings. Much smaller than my last printer. I also experience some connectivity issues from time to time from my smart phone to the printer. I've had connectivity issues on all of my previous HP Printers.
HP Smart Tank 7001 Printer Review
Originally posted onhp.com - 1 out of 5 stars review12/15/2023I am returning mine and HOPE that the replacement is not as bad as this one. I have not had a single page print cleanly - there is always a smudge somewhere or a line of text that looks smeared. I've tried different types of paper and nothing helps. I got this printer 8 days ago and I have printed LITERALLY 49 pages so far, with about 39 of them being "test pages," "alignment sheets," and "Print quality diagnostic pages." The printer tries to scan the alignment page but that fails because the printout quality is so poor. I'll update this review once my replacement arrives. See images of print quality.
Worst new printer ever - ink smudges everywhere.
Pete W - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/20/2024We are having issues with this printer. We have had a tech work on it but it will not stay connected to the Wifi. We have even tried another Wifi service. We have another tech coming and if he cant fix it we'll be returning it. The first tech felt that there is something wrong with the printer but want to be sure.
Not happy
Tom - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/2/2023So far so good. Prints well and fast and I like the fact that it included a nice supply of ink. Not sure how long the ink will last, but hopefully I don’t go through it as quickly as I have gone through ink cartridges. It was much harder to setup than any of my past printers and it took much longer than I would have like it to.
Prints well but setup was not easy
