I purchased this unit about 1 yr ago. 6 months into ownership the unit frooze up and wouldn’t cool. After defrosting overnight I plugged it back in and now the craft ice feature stopped working Been living with it since because I dont have time to call around

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this unit several months ago and it fit perfectly into a confined space. The door hinge design allows the doors to open without much space needed on each side. This allowed me to install the unit in a limited space area (e.g. wall on each side of unit) without having the doors hit the walls when opened. In addition, love the pull out draw feature and of course, the glass viewing window which lights up upon tapping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to have a large refrigerator with 2 ice makers. The size is great but the ice makers are crap!! Never has the ice holders been full. I have to reset them all the time for them to make ice and have had both ice makers replaced multiple times in the 2 1/2 years we have had refrigerator. It makes no sense for me to have 2 ice makers and still have to buy ice. Very disappointed in the very small amount of ice this refrigerator puts out. Also LG premium care service plan has covered the MANY service calls but getting appointments scheduled are a royal pain. Currently waiting for a repair appointment, submitted claim over 2 weeks ago, have contacted claim service for an update via online chat service and still do not have an appointment. Very frustrated, the size doesn’t make up for all the issues.

This would be a 5 star fridge except for 2 problems. My favorite feature of modern fridges is the water and ice dispenser. My 15 year old fridge was great at this. First: The fridge dispenses warm water. Why??? According to LG "• Only 1-2 cups of water can be held in the reservoir depending on the model. When the cold water is dispensed, warm (tap cold) water comes into the reservoir and is held until future dispensing. • When the dispenser run out of reserved water, it dispenses normal room temperature water from the tap. • For new installations, it can take up to 24 hours to cool the water. After dispensing more water than the tank's capacity the unit can take up to 6 hours to cool the water again." 1-2 cups??? 6 hours to cool the water??? We are not squirrels. There is never cold water. Since everyone else figured how to do it right more than 2 decades ago I'm going to say this is a major design flaw. Tap water the fridge is connected to is colder than the fridge water. The Fridge is literally warming water up. Second: The ice tastes like leftovers in the fridge. The warm pizza flavored ice water makes me bristle at the price I payed for this fridge. P.S. Delivery people dented the door so they sent a new unit 2 weeks later. Both have the same problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our refrigerator has had to be worked on twice and still isn't working right. It was delivered on 9/06/23, the shelving is horrible, all bottles have to lay down. Very little space for taller items, the ice maker is getting replaced next. Definitely won't ever buy again. The only thing nice is the looks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge and matching stove and microwave together and are very happy with all three appliances. The door in door feature is great and the refrigerated drawer holds everything we like to keep handy without having to open the big doors. The ice makers are the best we have had.

Despite some of the reviews I chose this LG because of the features. We have a basement freezer so having a lot of upstairs freezer is not that critical and the full convert drawer is the perfect solution. During the full kitchen remodel we accommodated the extra depth and installed in a manner to look built-in. The door-in-a-door is perfect for grabbing milk and yogurt for mornings without opening the entire fridge. The ice and water through the door is a joy after having to open the door on the last fridge and stand there pushing a button on the cabinet with one hand while holding the glass with the other. It’s beyound me how such an arrangement could get an energy star rating! As far as mechanicals are concerned it’s been installed only 5 months so no comment on that as of yet. LG did show a positive customer approach when the warranty was extended from date of purchase to date of actual install (15 months later) as it was purchased during COVID to ensure its availability. So far everything has worked as designed. Love how the water filter is located in a compartment that doesn’t interfere with the storage capacity. We have RO water to the fridge so will not require changes. The compact in-door ice is certainly adequate for our use and also is very space efficient. The Craft Ice bin could be narrower and reach the front of the slide out drawer but it’s a minor design detail. One of the comments indicated that they wished it was more productive but that can be remedied by switching from 3 to 6. We prefer to have fewer which are very clear with the RO water supply. Think that’s enough. If we do experience premature failures I pity LG!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this refrigerator 2 or 3 years ago and was happy with it except the ice maker. It has given us a problem for more than a year now. We purchased 5 years warranty and thank goodness we bought it. From time to time we found puddles of water in the morning from the ice maker and we have compressor replace due to the temperature not producing ice and after the replacement 2 weeks ago , it still not making ice. I would like the ceo of LG to own this refrigerator and May be it’s ok to the ceo but not to me.
