This refrigerator was great for 1.5 years.Then our compressor went out which it was repaired today and this was the 2nd technician to come to our house in the past 2 weeks. We have lost so much food in the part 2 week We has another LG refrigerator and our compressor went out it 5 times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my 15 year old unit with this one. It is amazing how I get 5+ cu ft of more room in the same footprint. I am really enjoying the flexibility with the Full-Convert drawer. I love the three ice options, cube, crushed and craft. The craft ice took 3+ days for the first batch, but has been dropping every 24 hours since. So far the whole family is thrilled with the new refrigerator.

Having owned a predecessor, same size, same style, it’s hard to keep my faith that we will come out ahead, but we are hoping. The last one crapped out in three years, and after being repaired, gave us another two years. Here’s hoping. The design is nice, not sure what the purpose of the transparent door is. Overall, its why we bought the first one, size and doors capable of opening without needing to expose the entire inside to the elements. Everything else is also the same as the other LG fridge we had, except for the second ice maker which makes ice balls nearly half the size of a baseball. We are just hoping to have a better time with this unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this refrigerator. I'd give it a 10 except for the craft icemaker. In the 10 months we've had it, 2 service calls to replace the craft ice unit. The service has been exceptional, but I hope the latest design is the final.

The refrigerator looks great and I really like the option of having the drawer be either a refrigerator or freezer. Unfortunately there is a cooling issue where the InstaView door section is approx. 5-6 degrees warmer than the interior section. If you set the refrigerator temp to standard 37 degrees the door section can get to 42-43 degrees which causes milk to spoil. The only option is to make the interior section really cold at 33 to get the door section to be around 38-39. The local LG technician (Kenneth) stated this is normal due to the LG design of the refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG- was great in sending me a replacement craft ice maker for me to install. For the most part it was easy to install and directions were simple. One thing that wasn’t explained was a reset button on the bottom front to push. After I did this and for some reason a process of of waiting 48 hours we have 3 round cubes per day. I still haven’t figured how to get it to the produce more ice cubes each day. There is an option for 6 ice cubes but I’m yet to figure out how this is done. So my experience is not complete, The support from LG was good - I did get a few text messages to see if I needed help but haven’t heard back yet to confirm that all is 100% good on my side.

I honestly thought the craft ice would be a novelty and wouldn't use it much. But now I find myself rarely using the ice machine from the door. The outside small door accessing the door is super useful as well. Then having the ice maker built into the door creates so much room within the fridge itself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator and have loved all the features, especially the craft ice and the cubed/crushed ice. One day it started making a noise in the craft ice maker, so I called and they walked me through down loading an app. it worked good for a few weeks and then started again. When I called again they sent a new ice maker with a web site on installation. It was very easy to do and now works like a charm.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this fridge for a couple of years now. Love the instaview window to look inside. We use the door water and ice dispenser constantly. The copious amounts of space in both the fridge and freezer are impressive! The only downside is the Craft Ice Maker we love but had to replace. Overall, we have enjoyed our fridge, and would buy LG again!
