I bought one for my sons household. It broke within a year, but they have a family of five so it got lots of use. I bought one for myself and I am the only user and the motor quit in a year. So if you are going to buy one, make sure to get the warranty, I didn't. But I feel it should have lasted longer than a year.

Stopped working after 5 months, I've called customer care and even sent my information to the manufacturer's website. So I have been in contact with two personnel in reference to my system not working. I am very disappointed in this product and wished I could get my money back. The manual primo hand pump works better, no flaws there.

Product is trash. Told me it was a 2 year warranty after it kept freezing up on me after 20 months. Submitted all documentation just to be told it's actually a 1 year warranty Greedy owners only want to sell more dispensers so they are making crap products. Don't waste your time on this product or their customer service. Just Google Primo issues or check the HD website. I wish I had Googled reviews of them before I bought this POC.

Performs as expected

Had my unit for a couple years, and was very satisfied with how it worked. Recently went opening it to clean it I've noticed that it began developing black mold in areas that are very difficult to reach or clean. I did find black mold in the water cooling container. Be very cautious and even with regular cleaning it's difficult to get every spot clean. Just a warning.

Lasted 18 months with low usage of 3-4 bottles per month. The hot and cold option was fine. The room temperature water was a waste of time as there is no dispenser to facilitate usage as there is with the hot and cold option. One has to wait for a small pump to extract and discharge the water from the actual bottle. Expected the unit to last longer than it did. Will not purchase another for replacement.

Been buying from Sams the 45 pack of 16 ounce bottles, now I can get rid of empty water bottles all over the house and won't be hauling the empty bottles to the recycling bin at our remote dump site. Only had it for a couple of weeks just hope it lasts for a long time to come, Yes I would recommend it to friends.

We liked the look & the fact that it was a bottom load & the price was reasonable. As soon as we set it up it was really loud. Within the first 3 weeks the cold water went out. Switch no longer turns the light on. The good news is the noise is less (not gone). We are returning it. Not sure yet what we will buy. These are made so poorly.

We have had this for almost 5 years and still works perfectly. We go through about 15 Gallons a week. We use both the Hot and Cold and have had no issues. The bottom loader is great, just slides in. Plus, when the water is low, a red light will come on reminding you to change the water bottle. I highly recommend.

This is the second Primo dispenser we purchased. The first one stopped cooling after 4 years. The second one stopped heating after a year and a half. Now 2 years later, it won't dispense water as the pump has stopped working. Customer Service couldn't explain the heating problem with the flashing heating light. They sent me a .pdf copy of the manual and coupons for water refills. I replied twice to the person who e-mailed me with more information, without a reply from them. Not helpful at all. Of course the warrenty has expired.
