I have purchased four heated razors--two for me and one for my brother and a friend. All have failed in less than two years. The shave is great, because the razor has two heat settings. The highest setting fails first and the lower setting will continue for months until it stops charging. While I hate shaving, this is best product I've found to accomplish the task, but it would be nice to know if the razor is meant to be disposed when it begins failing or if there a logical explanation or a possible fix to resolve it.

I’ve been using this for about a year now and the shave is good but if your hands get wet or you get shaving cream on your hand it’s flying all over the place. I mostly use it to shave my head. When this thing finally craps out I would not buy another.

I decided to make shaving enjoyable rather than a mindless chore. So I experiment with different shaving soaps and enjoy using a heavy, fancy shaving brush to apply it rather than just smearing shaving cream. The heated razor just adds to the overall experience very nicely. I can’t use a straight edge because of blood thinners, but this gets me something unique. I actually kind of look forward to shaving now. Sure, you can obviously shave a lot cheaper, but for a little money it can be a very pleasant experience. Glad I upgraded my shaving life.

I received this as a gift a year ago and have nothing but problems. I am about to ship it back for the fourth time! Three times for a rapidly flashing light and once for the area that holds the blade breaking. To me had I known it would have been this much of a hassle I would have returned it from the beginning. It is jut not worth the money and time spent sending it back.

I used this for the first time and it was very cool ( real warm). Great concept, and when you break the price down its very reasonable per year. I like the concept, I wish it vibrated like the fusion does. I also really like the size of the handle, o it is nice and big.

Bought the heated razor last Oct. Its OK, heats up but not as good as Hot lather. The blades are more expensive than the Proshield razor blades . I use the regular razor on occasion and I feel I get a closer shave with the Proshield razor for some reason

I bought this razor about 18 months ago, and the prongs and cover holding the blades in place and button to eject the blades completely broke apart, rendering the razor useless. Unlike the far cheaper exfoliating razor which comes with a lifetime warranty, this overpriced product's warranty is limited to one year. A razor at this price tag should not fall apart so quickly--extremely disappointed

I always wanted a heated razor as a hot towel shave is rare. This product fulfilled my goal and I finally have reached shaving nirvana. Gillette’s razors provide a solid shave but the heat bar is why this shaver is the very best Gillette can make. I use the travel case and I keep the shaver in it when dry and not in use and I charge it.

I recently bought this Heated Razor kit Through The Art of Shaving Site, where I am a regular customer for their premium shave products. I have been using their Lexington Collection 5 blade ProFusion flex ball Micro pulse razor for shaving a course beard on sensitive skin and can cut easily, but get great shaves from this as comparison After using the new heated razor, after using the same prep routine of a hot wet towel, massaging in preshave oil and using a brush under hot water to lather, I had the best wet razor shave to date. It cut my beard like it was butter and left my face baby bottom smooth with not rash, irritation or cut. Never experience this before- This is a great razor and was worth the money! I found that if you rinse the razor blades and heat bar under hot water before and during the shave, it add more heat and warmth making it easier to get closer to the beard. I also bought the travel/charger/storage case and it is a great addition to have. Nice design.

I have been shaving for along time. I’ll never forget how exited I was to get my first Atra razor. That was the razor every kid had to have in high school. Then as technology advanced it was the Sensor, the Fusion and now the Proglide. I have even gone nostalgic and used my grandfather’s Gillette Fatboy safety razor with much fanfare learning a new skill. It was fun but when you are on the run like I am you have to shave at a faster pace. Sure I have also tried other great brands and they are good, but nothing really shaved my face so perfectly and as close as the five blade Proglide with the adjustable head to get into the tight rounded corners of my chin. Once I noticed the new Heated version I just had to have it and finally got it for Christmas. I charged it up for the next mornings shave and the minute the razor touched my face I said to myself “Wow man this is great”! And I don’t know if it’s the warming effect of the blade softening the beard but I’ll tell you something helps this razor giving you the closest and smoothest shave you will ever have other than from a barber, and that’s even a maybe. Seriously guys this razor is “Amazing”. I highly recommend it and watch for Gillette’s special promotions from time to time and you can get this razor at a really good price!
