I have tried all the different fresh step litters, as my big boy Piper is an indoor cat. Its a steal for the price!! You’re practically getting two of the grocery stores size boxes for a little more than the price of one! I just take off one star bc I wish they would offer their febreze scented “outstretch” litter in this nice sams club size. Its the best one they make.

Long lasting scent control. I have tried other brands (the biggest disappointment tried to strong-arm me). Anything I get in the fresh step brand is pretty good, but this is one of the best. The only dust issue is when doing a heavy pour, and generally less dusty than others I’ve tried. I’m doing this review in hopes that this product will continue to be offered at a good value. Because as long as it is, as long as I can, I’ll be getting it here.

This litter clumps extremely well! Usually have no issues with it breaking up into a million pieces. Cat likes it much better than pine pellets. It definitely would be nice if they had no scent though. All that is just chemicals that are bad for everyone including the animals.

Best litter I've found! Clumps well (sometimes makes larger clumps than necessary, making it a little wasteful) but the odor-fighting is unmatched. It is expensive, but worth it, so I always get extra when it's on sale. Sam's always has the best price.

Just firm, satisfying scoops that make me wanna high-five my cat (even though he totally deserves it for using the box like a champ). But the real hero here is the ODOR CONTROL. Let me tell you, my cat's "business" used to announce itself from the block like a particularly pungent opera singer. Not anymore! Fresh Step is like a ninja assassin for smells, silently taking down even the most heinous litter box stink before it has a chance to escape. My apartment smells like... well, like a normal apartment that doesn't house a tiny poop factory! And can we talk about the SCENTS?! Fresh Step isn't just odorless (though, seriously, major props for that), it's like a litter box disco with a million purrfectly delightful fragrance options. I'm currently rocking the "Mountain Spring" vibes, but "Tropical Paradise" and "Clean Laundry" are calling my name. My cat might be confused by the sudden abundance of exciting smells, but hey, at least he's not holding his breath anymore. So, bottom line? Fresh Step is the litter box MVP. It's like a luxurious spa day for your cat's tush, a ninja master for odors, and a fragrance DJ for your home. If you're tired of wrestling with smelly litter boxes and living in fear of wafting whiffs, do yourself (and your nose) a favor and grab a bag of this kitty magic! Your cat (and your sanity) will thank you. P.S. I'm not even getting paid to say this (although, Fresh Step, if you're reading this... ). I just love a product that lives up to its hype, and Fresh Step is the real deal. Meow-ve over, competition, there's a new king (or queen) of the litter box in town! Seriously, go buy this litter. You won't regret it. (Unless you're a litter box odor enthusiast, then maybe... )

This is the best cat litter. I “sift” it using a Joseph Joseph plastic square pasta strainer. I do this after I scoop with a regular scoop. The JJ strainer catches all the “crumbs” that are a couple of pieces stuck together. It’s like brand new litter when I am done so it lasts a long time, making it very economical.

Despite the statement that this is low dust formula I'm telling you this is the dustiest product I've ever used. It clumps nicely, I'll give it that. But from the first poor there was a huge cloud of dust and when I just went to scoop it for the first time the entire box filled with dust and it plumed up and out into the room. I will not buy it again and I will be replacing it shortly since one of my cats has asthma and this just made me cough.

I buy the 48lb package of Fresh Step Total Control Cat Litter because it does control ordors better than any other litter I have tried. My cat has no issues using his box. There are two issues that it does have, it is not dust free and it does make crumbles. When I scoop his box I do wear a face mask to keep from coughing and inhaling the dust. The urine clump doesn't break totally up but there are small pieces that fall through my cat scoop. I would still recommend it as it really controls ordors.

Bought this cat litter as a convenience buy because I was at Sam's already and I didn't feel like driving to HEB where I usually buy my cat litter. This cat litter started to smell bad only after a few day of usage by one cat. HEB brand has no smell much, much longer.

This litter works far better than any litter should have to. MY kids refuse to clean the box. I am shocked and horrified by I see sometimes. Either Ive gone nose blind or it works great. NO one has ever said it smells like cat pee in here and I have asked flat out.
