It says scented but I think it is unscented. Doesn't matter. What did matter is that there are 4 bags, about 11 lbs each as carrying another 44 pounds could not been done Got in in the car, got a scissor when i was open and was able to carry each bag in separately and make it easy to refill the little box

I have 4 cats and I am 74 yrs old. They are a lot of work and I have to try always to find my supplies in smaller packaging because I cannot lift large heavy objects. This is the best littler that I have found, I scoop the boxes daily and add litter ever week with a box scrub when needed. It was a godsend when I found this litter, it is perfect. The absorption is great, turns into to nice solid chunks that are easily removed with leaving a lot of damp sand behind. And the10 # bags are so very easy for me to handle. With 4 cats, I rarely need to add a half bag but the blue tape on the bag makes it simple to do that when a portion of the bag is to be set aside. And the price is great. I have tried the lightweight litters, they are dusty and I swear that I can hear my old man cat sneezing after using the litter box when I tried one of this brands. This litter does its job, not a mess maker, does not track all through my house and does not smell. I have tried others but I always come back to my Fresh Step, can't beat it for multicast household, ease of using those nice small bags but with them in a 4 pack, I have enough for weeks. Not messy and it just works!!

This is the only cat litter I buy. A few times it was a lot of clay and seemed to make track marks. But aside from that , it is very good for the two boys that we have . It keeps the smell down and clumps nicely.

Great clumping cat litter that really locks in odor as stated if not longer! We have multiple kitties and this litter is low dust and clumps the urine really well making it super easy to scoop. I scoop the litter boxes about every other day, sometimes I get behind a day, but I can say that this Fresh Step Total Control litter does a great job locking in odors. I always worry that my home might have a cat box smell, but everyone says that they wouldn't even know that I had cats if they didn't see them. This doesn't ring true for a couple of other clumping litter brands that I have used in the past, so this is definitely the tried and true brand for our kitties and our home.

There are some items worth paying more for, and this litter is one of them! Don't buy the other bargain brands of cat litter, you will end up spending more in the long run. This litter works and will keep your house from smelling like a crazy cat lady's ; )

We have 2 cats and keep 2 litter boxes and they use whichever one they like. Fresh Step keeps the odors under control and is easy to handle in the smaller bags. We use the litter box liners in conjunction with this litter and the whole operation is as easy as waste control can be. One of our cats has sensitivities to litters and this is the one I prefer because it doesn't make her wheeze.

Best litter ever. We have tried them all and this is the one that works the best. Other litters say they clump but when you try to scoop the box they fall apart. This litter controls odor and truly clumps with cat urine so it is easily removed from the box. This is a great bargain because I don’t have to dump the entire box every time the litter box gets scooped!

Litter seems to be much dustier now

Hello, I'm writing this review in hopes it will get your attention. I buy Fresh Step Total Control because it is the only one I can get in-store. More are available online, but I don't like to wait. I've been reading the 1-star reviews, and I noticed many people have the same problem I do, which is why I'm leaving you a 1-star review. If you change the formula and make it last longer in the clumping department, I will gladly change my review to show my goodwill. So, I have noticed that after a few days of cleaning the litter box, the litter stops clumping as much as it does when it's fresh from the bag. When I clean the litter box the first few days, everything is fine, but not after that. The litter crumbles, leaving crumbles that don't stick together; the leftover litter stinks, the clumps fall apart, and it makes an even bigger mess in the box, causing the rest of the litter to stop clumping. I hate leaving bad reviews because it doesn't help, and it seems like the manufacturer doesn't care and nothing is done about the complaints. I hope you take these complaints seriously and consider people like me who don't like it or won't leave a review because we all probably think nothing will come of it. But I'm hoping you will take a good look at the formulas and consider changing them to make them work better, especially when the litter has been in the box a few days and starts losing its clumping power. That is what is happening. I haven't had a chance to try any of the others you carry, but today I am ordering a 4-pack of the heavy-duty to see if it holds up better after the litter has been scooped for a few days. I mean, after scooping the litter boxes every single day, the rest of the litter no longer clumps as well, and some of those clumps start falling apart as you lift them out of the box. I used to use a brand of litter made by Garfield, and it was the best clumping litter ever made!! Those clumps were just as hard as cement! I am not exaggerating; they would clump and never fall apart even if you dropped it on the floor! Seriously!! Find the formula and buy it from them, then start manufacturing it, and I can tell you now that you'll never regret it. People will love you for it. I would love you for it! Please take these complaints seriously and take a good look at the formula the Garfield litter was made with. I don't know why they no longer make it, and it makes me sad because it worked better than any brand I have ever used. I have tried ALL the brands out there, and I had to settle for Fresh Step after I couldn't buy the Garfield Litter or order it anymore. I wonder how many people out there have heard of and used that Garfield Litter before? They had two types. One was like sand, but the clumps would end up as hard as cement, and the other was crumbles that clumped as hard as cement too. I wish I could post a video showing how the clumps start failing after daily scooping. Thank you for your time.

I’ve bought Fresh Step from Sam’s Club many times, but this was absolutely disgusting. I opened a brand new package and while pouring the litter into a freshly cleaned litter box, there was cat poop mixed in with the litter. There is no question that it came directly out of the new bag. On top of that, this litter has become incredibly dusty. Pouring it into the box creates a cloud of dust, which gets everywhere and makes me question whether I even want my cats breathing it. Finding actual cat feces in a brand new, sealed package is completely unacceptable and makes me seriously question the quality control of this product. After this experience, I don’t feel comfortable buying it again.
