We have 2 cats and keep 2 litter boxes and they use whichever one they like. Fresh Step keeps the odors under control and is easy to handle in the smaller bags. We use the litter box liners in conjunction with this litter and the whole operation is as easy as waste control can be. One of our cats has sensitivities to litters and this is the one I prefer because it doesn't make her wheeze.

I have used the Fresh Step 44lb pack of cat sand for several years. I find it works well and clumps hard enough to scoop. The 44lb pack is very economical, although it is definitely heavy for me to bring in from the car by myself. I also like the scent. It has a light, fresh scent that is not overly perfumed.

There are some items worth paying more for, and this litter is one of them! Don't buy the other bargain brands of cat litter, you will end up spending more in the long run. This litter works and will keep your house from smelling like a crazy cat lady's ; )

Actually, Fresh Step is our 2nd choice. We're getting this because Sam's apparently discontinued carrying their Member's Mark Kitty Litter in store. Fresh Step is pretty much same consistency and clumping, but way more litter dust and is not fragrance free.

Great clumping cat litter that really locks in odor as stated if not longer! We have multiple kitties and this litter is low dust and clumps the urine really well making it super easy to scoop. I scoop the litter boxes about every other day, sometimes I get behind a day, but I can say that this Fresh Step Total Control litter does a great job locking in odors. I always worry that my home might have a cat box smell, but everyone says that they wouldn't even know that I had cats if they didn't see them. This doesn't ring true for a couple of other clumping litter brands that I have used in the past, so this is definitely the tried and true brand for our kitties and our home.

NOT the litter I’ve used for years but I had forgotten to pick it up and didn’t want to double back several miles to get it. I was in Sam’s and I decided to try this instead. Big mistake. It’s awful. It’s very heavy, very dusty, the cats tracked it EVERYWHERE and clumps stuck to the litter box then broke apart when you dug them out. I went back to my tried and true in less than a week. Lesson learned.

Fresh step cat litter is a good fill in when you are running low in tidy cat. However, tidy cat litter is not as messy as Fresh Step

Great litter for our cats. It keeps the odor to a minimum and clumps very well. Buying in bulk is definitely a better choice for multiple cat households.

I have been using Fresh Step for many years now and it has worked well with various numbers of cats we have adopted. The 4 pack is great because I can carry individual bags upstairs instead of the 44 lb box.

This is my go to and I'm so happy that Sam's sells this in bulk for an affordable price! Keeps smell down and low/ neutral dust but manageable.
