Asparagus was very large and tough. had to discard half of each stalk as not suitable for steaming. Defiantly not a value and not of the quality I was accustomed to getting at Sam’s. This was a call in pick up order. Never would have chosen from shelf myself.

Asparagus, highly recommend. I always buy this product when I go to Sam's Club b/c of the freshness/quality of the product. The stocks and tips are good size, and I can trust the product. I love to bring it home and steam it and apply butter. That can be my dinner and I'm satisfied.

This is always fresh every time I buy it and they don't wilt quickly! Whenever I buy asparagus from another store, I feel like it wilts so fast! But I've had these in my fridge for over a week and they were just fine. We love to saute them and some olive oil, butter, salt, and pepper! Even my kids eat them!

As usual, I buy produce at Sam's when I know the price is a better deal than other stores. Asparagus is one product that you never know if it will be tough and stringy. I have had good success with asparagus lately, from Sam's and Publix, and my mother in law taught me the trick of keeping the stalks upright in a dish of water in the fridge, because she cooks for one or two people and can't use it up as fast. It really does keep the tips from getting mushy! Lasted over a week last week, using a few at a time with eggs for breakfast, and some for dinner. Only the bottom end of some stalks were a little too tough, which is the nature of asparagus.

Historically the product is firm yet ripe. It seems to last for up to a week so it is not a problem if you cannot get through the entire bag in one single meal. Overall I have found them to be very tender and generally can eat almost the entire stalk.

This 2 lb bag is perfect for our family of 7! The asparagus is always fresh and never soggy! The flavor and texture are always perfect for oven roasting! The size of each asparagus is also a plus!! They aren’t skinny little pieces! My children all love these!!

Slimy, several days old asparagus. These sealed packages create condensation which just destroys the delicate flowering end of asparagus. There is a reason most grocery stores leave bunches of asparagus unwrapped. Perhaps perforating the plastic bag to allow the condensation to evaporate might improve this? A few years ago the asparagus at Sams was sold in large, rubber-banded bunches and the quality was terrific.

These asparagus are the largest I have found at any grocery store in Vegas and at the best prices. I've purchased them multiple times and never had a spoiled bag. They last a long time. I put them in a container specifically to keep veggies crisp. I like to bbq them with a little garlic salt and olive oil.

I bought asparagus this morning and when I went to put it in my car I noticed the tops were all slimy. I went right back into the store to exchange them because I needed them for dinner and it took over 20 minutes in line because they only had 1 person in customer service.

We're recent empty nesters so I feel guilty buying club size items many times except when it comes to vegetables which I don't think I can ever eat too much of. Asparagus is great eaten raw or cooked. Use them as a side, put them in omelets, salads, snack, or even dress them up to be a main dish. Can't go wrong.
