It's asparagus, tastes like asparagus. However it's hit or miss. Sometimes it's nice tender asparagus others it's tough and old. Sometimes I get home open the bag can get slimy stalks other times crisp.

Have been buying this product for several years and it was good. Last two packages I purchased were spoiled - overwhelming rotting odor when opening the bag. No expiration date on bag. Will not buy again.

While I love asparagus, I really shouldn't buy it in a huge bag. It seems when you open the bag, whatever you don't use the first day, starts to get slimy. I've tried many ways to store it so it won't get icky, but haven't found any good way other than freezing it, and then, well, it's not fresh anymore. However, if you have a big family and can cook the whole bag, great! Or, if you are making soup, it's great.

The asparagus from Sam's Club has always been fresh and beautiful. I love to roast it in the oven by shaking it in a bag with olive oil, salt, pepper, and parmesan. Sometimes I use fresh oregano from my garden or other fresh herbs. I dump them from the bag onto the cookie sheet, spread them out and roast. They're so good that it's almost like eating chips. ( you can't eat just one)

Inconsistent quality. I've purchased dozens of times and most all times they are delicious. My last 2 purchases were not fresh at all, to the point of causing an awful odor in less than 3 days. I returned the bunch and picked up another. Same issue; I gave it the sniff test and ... yuck! They looked good but when it comes to fruit and veggies, "smell" is everything! And they did not smell good!! Now I am hesitant to buy them from Sam's again. I gto our of my way to purchase asparagus at Smith's instead.

This is always fresh every time I buy it and they don't wilt quickly! Whenever I buy asparagus from another store, I feel like it wilts so fast! But I've had these in my fridge for over a week and they were just fine. We love to saute them and some olive oil, butter, salt, and pepper! Even my kids eat them!

This 2 lb bag is perfect for our family of 7! The asparagus is always fresh and never soggy! The flavor and texture are always perfect for oven roasting! The size of each asparagus is also a plus!! They aren’t skinny little pieces! My children all love these!!

The asparagus spears are very good. At the supermarket, I generally purchase thinner spears,. Although the spears at Sam's are a bit thicker, they are delicious nonetheless. Certainly, these asparagus spears are a better bargain than any found in a standard supermarket.

Slimy, several days old asparagus. These sealed packages create condensation which just destroys the delicate flowering end of asparagus. There is a reason most grocery stores leave bunches of asparagus unwrapped. Perhaps perforating the plastic bag to allow the condensation to evaporate might improve this? A few years ago the asparagus at Sams was sold in large, rubber-banded bunches and the quality was terrific.

I have always "declined" to review my purchases but this time it was definetly something corporate should be informed. I had decided to "try" having an employee select a piece of produce that I have purchased previously & really enjoyed. Unfortunately, I received a pkg of Asparagus that not only was almost at an expiration date, but the buds/tops of asparagus were weepy, falling apart & bottoms were dried out. As I have watched employees look at a sheet & grab the 1st item off the shelf, this is probably what happened. No time taken to ensure the product would be edible......as it was more costly to drive back I just threw the pkg away & never again will I use the curb side for produce where scrutiny is needed by the employee as to whether product is eatable. They probably don't even know what it is.
