Very fresh and tender

It's asparagus, tastes like asparagus. However it's hit or miss. Sometimes it's nice tender asparagus others it's tough and old. Sometimes I get home open the bag can get slimy stalks other times crisp.

I buy this every time I go to Sam’s because it is priced so nicely! Thank you, Sam’s! (I know you know this, but when you get home, put the asparagus butt down in a wide glass and a couple inches of water in your fridge will last weeks!

I only buy this right before I need it because it never lasts long in the refrigerator. I usually steam the spears all at once and eat them as snacks. A delicious and nutritious snack as long as I don’t over steam them! I buy these quite often.

I like to bake these in the oven. I put olive oil, parmesan cheese, and garlic powder on them. They make a great healthy alternative to French fries.

I love asparagus but haven’t been happy with these lately. 2 days after buying open bag and threw more than half the bag away. Date should be on them like they use too.

I have always "declined" to review my purchases but this time it was definetly something corporate should be informed. I had decided to "try" having an employee select a piece of produce that I have purchased previously & really enjoyed. Unfortunately, I received a pkg of Asparagus that not only was almost at an expiration date, but the buds/tops of asparagus were weepy, falling apart & bottoms were dried out. As I have watched employees look at a sheet & grab the 1st item off the shelf, this is probably what happened. No time taken to ensure the product would be edible......as it was more costly to drive back I just threw the pkg away & never again will I use the curb side for produce where scrutiny is needed by the employee as to whether product is eatable. They probably don't even know what it is.

This 2 lb bag is perfect for our family of 7! The asparagus is always fresh and never soggy! The flavor and texture are always perfect for oven roasting! The size of each asparagus is also a plus!! They aren’t skinny little pieces! My children all love these!!

Not so fresh sticks in the middle of the bag were wet and slightly slimy like they had gotten wet at one time and didn’t dry properly before being placed in the bag cut those parts off and the rest cooked up well with no bad taste will inspect better before next purchase
