[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This litter has a clean fresh scent that actually smells pleasant without being overwhelming. It clumps very well making scooping easy, and my cats had no issue using it. There is a little dust when pouring, but not enough to be a major problem.

Works great at producing tight clumping. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because they track it out of the litter box and on to the floor a bit more than some other litters I have used. Its a very fine litter, so I think thats why. I had no issues with my cats using the litter box when I used this product. I have bought it again because I like the odor control and clumping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fresh step is not for those who need low dust. It absolutely created a massive cloud when pouring out to the point I had to leave the room. It also made my cats sneeze a lot because I was using it in the automatic litter box. And again high dust is an issue with the sensors. I would not be using this product again purely based on the amount of dust it creates. Was it effective, yes. Did it control odor, sure. But it didn't go well with my asthma. So for that I say nay.

I just scoop into a little bag and toss in the trash. It’s a semi fine litter and has a little dust when pouring. Over all, a superior litter with multiple cats.

This is by far not what it used to be. Can’t believe the odor. Never had this happened before. Have always used Fresh Step with great clean results. Not anymore. I thought my cat was having issues, but after reading the reviews I realize it’s the litter. Will not be using any longer. Will find a better product for my cat.

I didn’t notice a lot of loose litter around the pan or floor like I do at times with other brands. The added febreze scent helps maintain the odor and keep it at bay. One of my cats has strong smelling stools and I noticed an improvement with the fresh step odor shield cat litter. The added febreze helped keep my laundry room smelling fresh, even with two cats using the box daily. It also clumped very well and held together nicely while scooping and lasted the expected time.

My cats were instantly curious the moment I started pouring it into their litterbox. Even with the litterbox moved from its normal location (so I could get some photos and video) they hopped right in with no hesitation. The clumping aspect worked quickly, forming tight, solid clumps that made scooping less messy. Overall, it's a subtle, effective, lighter weight litter that performed exactly as advertised!
