The safe is solidly built. The internal features (key hangers, slots for paper, shelves and adjustabiliy of the shelves) are all more than satisfactory. The locking bolts are plentiful and solid, and I love that the handle will rachet if someone attempts to force the handle open. And it rachets right back into place. Batteries are easily accessed and the indicator lights are well lit. The keypad is easy to operate as well. I can't rate the strength, fireproofability (is that a word?) or water-tightness as disaster has not yet hit. The safe is like insurance - just a piece of paper until you need it, which you hope you never do. I've yet to drill anchor holes (which voids the water-tightness, understandably, but I'll install rubber washers or caulk the holes (maybe even with fireproof caulk). I would buy this again. A safe like this is something I have wanted for a long time. Pretty happy with the quality. It did arrive with a dented corner I found after I removed the packaging. I didn't feel it was bad enough to warrant sending it back for a new one. Where we put the safe the dent is not noticeable and does not affect the function or usefulness of the safe. I bought a safe, not a show piece.

I like the size, when purchasing the photo showed a locked drawer but only a shelf was included, not a deal breaker. This is my second one and have never had an issue with the first one (much smaller) with the digital key pad. Only thing I would have liked is a secondary key backup. Lots of space, well made.

I read a lot of reviews on this safe. So far, it works as advertised. The safe came by Fedex. No dents or problems with the packaging. Easy to set up. One reason I chose this model is the batteries are replaceable from the outside, not inside like some models. Some reviews were concerned with the handle. So far, no problems.

Good overall safe big enough for the home office. I can put pentacles folders and laptop in it easily. Only concern is with the handle. It’s plastic and obviously mated to steel internally. It feels spongy at the stops like it could strip out. I would buy a steel handle if they made one but the don’t as of now.

We were very disappointed when we got the safe home and one of the first things we read was, don't store CD/DVD video tapes in this safe and also found if it stayed closed for more than a week or two at a time there is a possibility of moisture developing and paper documents could be damaged.

I like the safe and it was delivered quickly. Unfortunately, the bottom left front corner is dented in, it seems due to inferior packaging for such a heavy safe. The box seemed in good shape and there was a lot of Styrofoam, but it was broken up once I received it. Even with the Styrofoam, the heavy safe corner was dented during shipping. It is completely functional and did not seem to bent the door sealing, but it sad to receive a new safe that is dented.

The safe came with damaged edges, bulging outside of the case, cracked plastic surrounding the keypad. Additionally, the unlocking handle feels flimsy as it will break if pushed hard. I noticed similar reviews outlined and had assumed Sentry Safe would have corrected these faults.

The safe gets stuck in the locked position. I’ve learned to lay it on its side (hinge side down) on the carpeted floor, type the code and while turning the handle counterclockwise, bang on the latch side. Also the handle is plastic and feels like it’s going to break or come off when unlocking the safe. I would have expected a sturdier handle.

We like that this safe has both a keypad combination and key option. We also appreciate the internal storage drawers. Having the ability to create a secondary PIN is a nice featurw as well. The only thing i was disappointed about was a dent in the safe when it arrived but it doesnt impact the function of the safe.
