We're very happy so far with our XXL Sentry Safe! Our old Sentry Safe is 14 years old and still works great! Only suggestion I have is they need to work with their shipper, UPS, to stop damaging the safes while they're in transit. 1st one was damaged severely and had to be replaced. The replacement was also damaged but not as severely.

Roomy, easy to operate. Heavy enough to be substantial but still easy to move with a small dolly or hand truck.

This safe has a good design. The instructions for setup are well done and include bolt products.

I love that there is a master code that can not be deleted and that you can add and delete additional codes. My husband said when he bolts the safe to the ground it will void the waterproof warranty. So if there's anything that I'd like to be different would be that it could still be waterproof after bolting it to the ground perhaps there could be some type of rubber cover to put over the bolt?

The battery holder, that holds the batteries was missing, had to wait from Friday night till Monday morning to call in and try to get one, called in and they said one is being sent to us, we received the battery holder and we can now use the new safe, easy to operate and convenient shelves, key holders and storage in door.

I've had no problems with it so far. It has worked every time as described. It seems to be the perfect size and the price was also extremely reasonable. I've noticed that it's higher in other stores. I verified online per the serial# that it would not open using a strong magnetic field. There was no internal light and unfortunately the digits do not illuminate.

I like the size, when purchasing the photo showed a locked drawer but only a shelf was included, not a deal breaker. This is my second one and have never had an issue with the first one (much smaller) with the digital key pad. Only thing I would have liked is a secondary key backup. Lots of space, well made.

I think it’s a fine safe but I think the handle could be made to exert just a little more force before purposefully slipping on the actuator. I know this is to protect the components of the actuator and I know, my safe being water resistant, seals tighter than most, but I find that it’s better if I use one have to depress the handle and the other hand to push in the door slightly.

This is the second sentry safe of this type I’ve purchased. I love the simplicity and durability, and has a pretty good fire rating. The only thing(s) I don’t like, is there’s no secondary option to open the safe, so if the key pad goes out there’s no other options to open the safe. Most other safes I own have the secondary key option. The other issue is the lack of shelving. Other than that I’m pretty happy with the safe

The safe came with damaged edges, bulging outside of the case, cracked plastic surrounding the keypad. Additionally, the unlocking handle feels flimsy as it will break if pushed hard. I noticed similar reviews outlined and had assumed Sentry Safe would have corrected these faults.
