I've only been using the safe for a month, but it opens easily and the size is perfect for what I need. I would have given 5 stars but it doesn't come with a key and the fire replacement guarantee is only good if you register your safe within 30 days of purchase. Due to online order and store pickup, I didn't even get my safe until after the 30 days expired.

Well built and meets fire/water ratings to give me the peace of mind for storage of those important documents that we all have that need protection. Quality build that also looks good while providing a secure solution. It took two people to carry it upstairs to my home office so call a friend.

I bought this safe with storing important paperwork in mind. I thought that I could use hanging file folders but can not find any containers that will fit in the safe. I should have measured more closely. Unfortunately, hanging file folders do not. But I an making due with the safe I have and it does store most things conveniently and securely. The safe is easy to open and fits in my closet well.

This safe should hold everything from my safe deposit box and other valuable papers that I have at home. I know that the company will replace it if it is damaged in a fire, but I don’t know how I can open it to get my things out, after being damaged in a fire. The digital keypad is soft rubber or plastic that will melt in a fire. Can anyone answer this question?

I purchased the SFW205GRC Sentry Safe to replace a previous Sentry Safe that was pried opened earlier this year during a home burglary. Burglars were able to open my previously owned safe (Sentry Model #A5882, 2 cu ft) that I had for about 6 years. Burglary occurred while I was away on vacation. I was surprised that the thief was able to pry the door open. Since I primarily use the safe to safeguard important documents (e.g. birth, marriage certificates, etc.), I was fortunate to only have suffered a limited financial loss (emergency stash of cash and some silver coins). The safe, itself, was a total loss and had to be discarded.

This is my first and I believe the best safe I’ll ever need. Following the included instructions everything worked according to the design. The code on the back of the manual is hard coded in the digital lock in case you ever forget the customer entered code. I was very impressed and would recommend this unit. Registration allows you to log the hard code and customer code along with the serial number.

I cannot express enough how much room is in the safe. You will need to keep those moisture packets to not damage your important items. Praying that the safe holds up in extreme conditions when unforseen events happen. I'll be prepared and it didn’t come with the warranty card I will be calling to get that asap.

The safe is the perfect size and bolting it down went well. Adding the additional combination was straight forward. However, opening it is a challenge. Sometimes it opens first try, sometimes it takes three or for attempts and sometimes I have to use factory set combination. I worry that the day will come when I can’t get it to respond to either combination. I don’t know what I’ll do then

Fire proof and water proof were a requirement as I keep titles, jewelry, passports, etc in it. It meets all the requirements for protecting these valuable. It is heavy enough that no one is going to tuck it under their arm and go out the door with it. It ios small enough to be able to put it in an out of the way place, too.

I've been wanting to purchase a safe for the past few years and just hadn't done it. I finally purchased one to give to my husband for Christmas 2021 and we love it so far. I wish it had at least 2 more trays though. It fits neatly where we decided to put it. We liked ours so much that my mom went out and purchased a smaller one for herself.
