I agree with LisaP. I will not buy MM cream cheese for anything stand alone. That to me means a layered dip, bagels, or cheesecake type dishes. I would strongly recommend all other Members Mark Products as this is the only one I've tried so far that they did not get right.

“No accounting for taste!” If you are judging the taste by your diet of processed foods you may not like the “real deal!” However, it is the Truly the best we have ever had! Our family & extended family have been using this for over 5 years now! No issues cooking or baking! It is higher density when cold, compared to other brands, so simply slice thinner to spread.

If you use this cream cheese right away, it's just fine. The taste and texture are good. But, if you plan on freezing it, don't buy this brand. Upon defrosting, it separates into curds and whey. Not good for anything where a smooth texture is needed. I tried just whipping it back together. It does not work. So, just buy it if you plan to use most of it in a cheesecake or are prolific bagel eaters.

I use it when I have guests over and it's awesome. Qt, price, quality. 5 stars. I use it for sauces, creams and baking. Just a few things I use it for are: stuffed mushrooms, stuffed peppers for appetizers ( with green onion, dill, and goat chees), pasta sauce (Alfredo or Carbonara) and stuffed shells, Strudels (cherry and apples), cupcakes cream, cake cream. It's just perfect!

I was skeptical abt this product but it was the only one available in bulk. But when I used this in one of my favorite dishes, I found myself reaching for more spices and cheeses to make up for a lack of flavor. A shame because I had pulled double meat to use on this particular occasion. I agree with other reviews; it tastes more like butter than cream cheese.

I thought this cream cheese was very good. It was creamy and not lumpy. It was also easier to measure. I made a cheese cake and a creamy chicken dish with it. The only thing I wish was different was if the plastic was a zip lock. I did have a zip lock bag that I was able to transfer it to.

Within a week it was bad. Works great I guess if you are going to use it all in one go but I even used a vacuum sealer and it still went bad fast. The date was still good but it had that stinky liquid and you could smell it the second you opened it. Date way off

This is not a good cream cheese for cheesecake. Same recipe, every detail followed every time with same results until I decided to take a chance on this block of cheese and it basically just foams as it bakes instead of thickening in place as it would with real cream cheese. Complete bust. Never again.
