Not for Cheesecakes

This cream cheese is more akin to a a block of white Velveeta than to Philly. I'm sure it would work in cheese dips, but it makes for a poor cheesecake. Their's too much xanthum gum which gives it an oily, slimy feel instead of a thick/ homogeneous paste.

Availability

It is one of the best products, yet it constantly goes out of stock. The presentation is much better, with less trash, and for someone that sometimes goes through 60lb of this cream cheese a week, it's a constant hassle to be running around trying to substitute it. Availability is the only issue because the product is great

Rubbery texture...

It might be a bad batch and I've only seen these 3LB blocks during the holiday. It is rubbery, I made a few pumpkin rolls and ran out of cream cheese, sams club only had these. I made more pumpkin rolls and I had a little icing left on the spatula so I licked it...it didn't even transfer onto my tongue. It almost seems waxy. You could probably wax your car with this.

Good for recipes

I think that this cream cheese would be perfect for a recipe in a crockpot or baking but not for using to spread on a bagel. It was too thick to eat plain and didn’t taste that good. It was also hard to spread. Using in a recipe to cook with tastes fine though especially for a large recipe. I wish it had a way to reseal the cheese. I did like how it shows measurements on it.

Just pass

My local club was out of Philadelphia brand. Went ahead and picked up the store brand. Won't do that again. It's not creamy, hard to melt in the one dish I am using it in. I wanted to make a cheesecake but that's a lot of work when this stuff is not so great to start with.

Disappointing - PLEASE BRING PHILLY BACK!!!

Member's Mark Cream Cheese does not have that tangy edge that makes Philadelphia Cream Cheese taste so good. It's okay as an ingredient in sauces, but that's about it.

Great quality cream cheese

I received a sample to try at home. Tastes just like the leading brand. Used to bake some cream cheese brownies and they were a big hit. Next bake...cheesecake!

3 lbs

It’s a three pounds of smooth and creamy goodness. It has premeasured markings to cut it every so often. It spreads well without clumps and tastes good on bagels. But it is three pounds in a single package. There is absolutely no competition if you need this much cream cheese.

Disappointed it did not last

Within a week it was bad. Works great I guess if you are going to use it all in one go but I even used a vacuum sealer and it still went bad fast. The date was still good but it had that stinky liquid and you could smell it the second you opened it. Date way off
